I may catch hell for this, but I was so incensed I had to post this. Here is a paraphrase of what I just heard today at about 1:30 pm pst. The subject was hurricane Katrina and the government's response:
Caller: They were loading the people at the Dome onto buses and not even telling them where they were going. That was horrible. It was like...
Rhodes: Yes, your so right. You know what it reminded me of? I was at the Hollocaust Memorial in DC. They had a display of those, you know, cattle cars. And they were loading the victims into them. You think they were told were they were going? Of course not.

I know I am not supposed to listen to Air America, but, I did. So shoot me if you want. But that was one of the most disgusting things I have ever heard.
Sorry, but this could not get by without bringing out the desopable nature of Randi Rhodes and Air America

Sorry, but this could not get by without bringing out the desopable nature of Randi Rhodes and Air America It's not just Ranky Rhodent; the entire cast of Err-America is equally as abhorant.
That Schultz character is the nazi.

Randi Rhodes reminds me of my daily ritual after my first cup of coffee in the morning.

It might be unsettling to the 10 people that were listening to it.

Rancid Rhodes is a real piece of work. The day that W gave his hurricane speech the only radio station I could get clearly was Err America, and she constantly talked over him and made really stupid remarks. It was infuriating. And the things she was saying were just dead wrong. She has no clue as to the truth.

No, Michael, we dont shoot our friends. We will shoot.....never mind. I'll hold my toungue for now.

Yeah, in brainy liberal land everything is like everything else. If you put someone on a bus to save them, it's just the same as putting them on a cattle car to take them to a death camp.
These morons wouldn't know a paper sack from a nuclear warhead.
To: Michael.SF.
So are we supposed to take better care of them than they take of themselves?

I just want to know what "disopable" means. OK, I deserved that, but at least I corrected it. I am surprised you also did not mention the "your" vs. 'you're'.

So the people of New Orleans were driven out to open fields, forced to dig their own graves and then gunned down. Well, Bush is capable of it, isn't he? </extreme sarcasm>
Randi Rhodes is afraid of losing her job to Cindy Sheehan.

I distinctly remember the 2000 dollar debit cards the holocaust victims got.

AS soon as I saw the title to this thread I knew it had to be Randi Rhodes. Her whole gig is to just say the most outrageous things she can think of to stir up controversy. The kookier the better. She's a skank.

So, they would rather there have been limousines to individually take each evacuee?
To: Michael.SF.
Don't feel bad. I listen to Pacifica from time to time just to see what the evil people are up to. The last couple of days they were interviewing Hugo Chavez and just gushing all over him. It was pathetic, but I think listening reminds us of how marginalized these people really are.
