If you are in the path of this storm, please sign in here, so that the rest of us can keep track of our "displaced" friends and family.
And when you return, remember to sign in, as we will be looking for you!
Some day when you have the opportunity, you can explain the reasoning for that decision to us.......LOL.
Ready?
My Dad is too tired to leave tonight, he just got back from Matagorda Bay, where he was helping a neighbor board up his beach house (my Dad agrees with me that it probably won't be there once the storm passes through, anyway, but at least they've done what they can for it...). They have a small car, a 2-seat Honda Del Sol, but will also be carrying a dog and two cats with them.
Call somebody! We'll be looking for you.
No, I must stay. No worries!
Best of luck and stay in touch as long as you can.
Get their phone numbers; you may be able to call them when they can't call you!
thats what worries me here..
Oh that is too cool!
I am at 45 and West road... with the bayou in front of me. Uggg. :-)
Leaving tomorrow? I wish you the best of luck.
Let us know where you are and how you are, if you can!
Don't make me come over there...
But they will be on the way to safety, right?
I'm here.. and I'll be staying.. I'm about 4 miles from Compaq (HP now)... I've got lots of water, food, ammo, and gin..
Don't you love Spiff's maps?
After hurricane season, he's going to teach us all how to use Google Earth! (Do you have that???)
Oh my....my husband is a readjuster.......LOL.
Yep. I have you guys programmed in. I'm taking my guns and some other important stuff, the computers and the dog. I plan on being on the road fairly early, hopefully to avoid all the other poeple who are going to be on the road fairly early hoping to do the same thing. :-)
Looks like I'm sitting right in Rita's part here in Bryan/College Station. Hopefully it will pass to our west but we'll probably lose power for a while.
You better hope that Nagin doesn't move to Utah. Or you will be next.
Read this thread; people are giving a lot of great tips.
And keep in touch, will you?
