BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) The man in photographs taken at a Texas restaurant last month isn't missing Centre County District Attorney Ray F. Gricar, police said Tuesday.
A woman dining at a Nacagdoches, Texas restaurant in early August snapped the pictures after striking up a conversation with the man. She said he resembled Gricar and gave the photos to police, who asked the public for help and sent the pictures to the FBI for analysis.
An FBI report Monday concluded that the man in the photos isn't Gricar, said Bellefonte Police Office Darrel Zaccagni, who is leading the investigation.
Gricar, 59, was reported missing on April 15 after failing to return from a drive on his day off. He was scheduled to retire in December after more than two decades as district attorney.
Police say they do not think his disappearance is tied to any of his cases and have few credible leads. All scenarios are still being considered, including foul play, Zaccagni has said.
The thing I couldn't shake from mind, was:
If you were going to fake your own death, would you really escape to.....Nacadoches, Texas? Most people escape FROM Nacadoches......
LOL, good point!
Couldn't she just ASK HIM?................
Yeah, exactly. What's the worse thing he could do? Say no.
And besides, if I wanted to disappear, which is not illegal to do, what business is it of hers anyway?............
He just wanted to go there long enough to spell the name of the town! ;-P
Good point. But I will give her this, she at least took a photo of the guy and he did look like Ray Gricar. So many times, there are sightings and nothing to confirm or deny it.
Was she on her way to photograph Elvis and Bigfoot getting on a Alien Spaceship with Brad and Jen?.............
...who were going to see Hoffa...
LOL!!!! yeah, I forgot about him!.........
OHMAGOD! Marilyn must be nearby!
