Impromptu press briefing
There is no way he could ever hold elected office... The PC crowd would demand he be fired! He reminds me of Patton and I loved Patton.
bttt
The general has a way with words.
I have to wonder if the mike missed one word and Lt Gen Honore actually said "Don't get stuck on stupid, stupid reporter".
A clear-thinking general goes up against a bunch of muddled-thinking, agenda-driven and self-serving reporters.
"You are acting like this is YOUR problem. You are the MESSENGER."
I love it! Harry Truman/Patton lives! They ought to let nobody else hold press conferences until the emergency is over.
Honore / Rice 2008!
Bravo, John Wayne Dude!

Amen.
There is a media story where they wrote this:
Army Lt. Gen. Russel Honore, head of the active duty forces responding to Hurricane Katrina, bristled when asked why anyone would expect that things go smoother just three weeks after the last disaster. "That's not your business," he told a reporter. "It didn't work the first time. This isn't the first time. Let's not get stuck on the last storm." Honore told reporters their job was not to question how the last hurricane was handled but to send out official messages.
You can almost see the disdain on their faces. What? We in the media are not King and Queen of the Earth? We are just supposed to relay official messages? This is beneath us!
Some other "Honore'-isms"
1. I can get an epileptic monkey to do your job!
2. Der is gunna be an ass whippin' of Biblical proportions!
3. You go get 'em Tiger! Dat's it Killer! Dank you berry much! (when you do good).
tagline change
I was watching this when it took place. Does anyone know who the reporter was?
Some other "Honore'-isms:"
4. "You're lookin' at the damn calender, and I'm lookin' at my watch! Over!"
5. What in da HELL is dat! Sounds like sumthin' da ho's do in the French Quarter at Mardi Gras!
Like your new tag line.
Kicking liberal MSM arse BUMP!!
The CNN anchor who was reading the news desk turned looked like she was going to be sick. She halted her speech and moved onto the next story.
Reporters ask stupid questions. I think it comes from everyone actually believeing the old saying "there's no such thing as a stupid question". When I was training Army Warrant Officer Candidates many moons ago I told them that that old saying was stupid and yes there were stupid questions and I had better not hear any from them or there would be hell to pay. It made them put their brain in gear before they engaged their mouth. The result was a WO candidate who could and would think for himself. Same should apply to reporters, but then again I know that's asking a lot of some of them.
LOL! They can't handle the truth, and I love every minute of it.
