I just got such a kick out of this that I just HAD to share......
I passed around an e-mail that pointed out the various flaws of the local and state govt plans in LA during Katrina, and a friend that I immensely enjoy "tweeking" replied back to me. I have been doubled over laughing ever since. God, where do I start with a response back to him? Or should I even bother????? It's just stupid. They think the national debt is a credit card made out to the president. Unless you live in a bubble, every single person in this country contributes to the debt one way or another. The only thing America can realistically do at this point to curb the debt, without shooting our collective selves in the foot with all kinds of tariffs, is for congress to abolish the IRS, vote in HR25 and ease our foreign fuel dependency by seeking energy closer to home (ANWAR, Gulf, etc.) and starting a new Manhattan Project for alternative energy development like biomass, fusion, zero-point, etc.

Where are you from? I'm from Massachusetts and it seems whenever I meet cool people in college they turn out to be liberal. Most of my friends are Democrats, and just forget about any nice girls I meet. They're all liberal too, but nine out of ten times can't even tell me why. I just don't say much about anything with my friends, the alternative is pretty lonely. I can't wait till I move someday.
