Dirty Dan Rather was accepting a lifetime achievement award when he (and another moonbat from HBO films) started complaining about "the climate of fear" in newsrooms. He said he didn't even have it this bad during Nixon. Just goes to show we're making some progress after all, I guess. He bemoaned the existence of cable and internet news sources, and claimed that the news was "skiewed" now.
I don't even know where to start when he says that...
Hey Dan...you tried to overthrow another President...you got caught this time....deal with it, Moonbat.
"Climate of fear" in newsrooms?
What in the world is he talking about?
What a WONderful cartoon.
Dan Rather IS a cartoon.
What in the world is he talking about?"
Citing actual sources and real evidence in the case certain "news" anchors want to report bogus stories.
Why is the remote next to the lady? That's wrong, just plain wrong! :-)
"Climate of fear" in newsrooms?
What in the world is he talking about?"
He must be talking about "political officers" like the KGB used to use, or the "minders" used by the Iraqis. Oh wait, he never cared about those. Perhaps he is becoming acquainted with the concept of consequences, such as when "jounalists" lie about the administration, they tend to treat you poorly.
Who's Dan Rather?
Dan, thank Algore for it.
Fear of getting caught spinning BS.
The fear getting caught attempting to sway a Presidential election by airing a hitpiece on a sitting President (that you hate), by using forged military documents and a crazed and disgrunted Bush hater (Burkett), and collaborbating with the opposing candidate's camp - therefore forcing you to resign in disgrace after a long career.
That kind of fear Dan?
"Climate of fear."
The liberal media is eating its own.
It's telling the transparency they demand in so many other institutions doesn't sit well in the newsroom. "The climate of fear," is the fact that finally the consumers of news have an effective say in something beyond the anchor-robots' wardrobes and hairstyles. Of course, there's a lot few of those consumers thanks to, in part, the decades of Dan Rather.
Dan Rather put his spin on the news for how long? The "fear" he speaks of is his own, and it sounds like it's coming from the fact that he doesn't have any control over what people think anymore. Liberals hate truth.
Capitol Steps.
