I don't think that's a change south. It looks like a change north. Even the stupid NOGAPS model shifted it well north of Mexico this run.
A few put it east of Houston, which I'd prefer, but those aren't the major models. Without looking into the specifics of those model runs, I'd take that as bad news for you and me.
I'm afraid my fear is going to be confirmed about this time tomorrow night when the models decide that Rita will hit somewhere slightly southwest of Houston, somewhere between Baytown and Freeport.
Turn out the lights, the party's over.

Yep, channel 2 just showed which areas would flood if it stays a 4 and on the same track. Johnson Space Center under water...that's right by my house.

So, the nogaps is not a good model? I've been a little concerned about that one.

I've been saving all of these models...several have moved north of us those were right over us others were almost over us and have moved quite a bit south. Yep, navy model has it over the King Ranch now...LOL
Doc Frank gave percentages just now: 13% Galveston, 13% Matagorda, 12% LA/TX Border, 11% NO, 11% Brownville. LOL...

I don't see how we can take this right now. You and so many others from this area must feel terrible. And I feel bad for you if this hurricane actually hits Texas. But I Have a feeling that it won't just be Texans that will truly suffer through this one. The rest of America will suffer with way more than just there hearts. I think Don McLean caught the moment about 35 years too soon.
