NORFOLK — Cindy Sheehan, the anti-war activist who made headlines by demanding to meet with President George W. Bush and setting up camp outside his Texas ranch this summer, is coming to Norfolk.
Sheehan became an outspoken opponent of the war in Iraq after her son died there. She is scheduled to hold a press conference at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the corner of St. Pauls Boulevard and City Hall Avenue downtown. Her “Bring Them Home Now’’ tour will present speakers at the veterans memorial in Town Point Park at 7 p.m., according to a press release.

Across the street, (6 lanes wide ), a crowd of seven women , holding signs, ( letter size flyers), that read , Cindy Go Home. Some of the ladies had children there holding flyers as well.
After I found a parking spot, I unrolled my sign, that said, Cindy, Beware Of Hillary, in light of Cindy's recent remarks regarding the junior Senator from New York.
I asked if anyone was from Free Republic, they weren't. It seems they were local military family members. One of the ladies commented on the sign, she liked it.
One lady was being interviewed* by what I suspect was a lefty reporter, as I saw him team up with the Cindynistas later.
There were several media outlets across the street.
I did notice that there was a Code Pink lady present. I shouted, " Shame On Code Pink ". I explained to the ladies just who Code Pink was. I also happened to mention that the Cindynistas were for the most part, paid agitators. I happened to mention that their rally in Williamsburg had Union organizers there.
Right about then some hippy that was on our side of the street, (infiltrator), piped in, "What's wrong with unions?" , to keep it brief, I equated unions with the Mafia.
He tried to engage me in a debate, I told him that I wasn't there to hear his leftist spiel. It didn't take long before he was berating Israel, Jews, Christians, etc. I politely told him to get lost.
To top it off, there was another lefty on our side of the street that kept shouting, " Bring our troops home "
About the time I told the Commie to get lost three guys in suits showed up, they were friends of some of the ladies there. They provided a much needed boost in ranks.
I missed what lead up to what happened next, but the shouting Lefty was getting in a little too close to one of the Suits, shouting his non-sense. The Norfolk PD, which had been observing from a distance, intervened and banished Lefty to the other side of the corner. I have a pic of Lefty being sent away , perhaps I'll post it later.
Between 6:00 - 6:15, the Cindynistas, started to cross the street towards us. Of course, the first wench that crossed the street says, " We love you guys !" . Another wench said she was a disabled Vet and she supported the troops, I asked her what her , "but" was. She was taken aback. I asked her straight up, You support the troops, but... what, you hate Bush, is that it?
She didn't answer me, she fell back on " I'm a disabled Vet" schtick.
The Code Pink lady crossed the street, read my sign, she said, " Honey we love both Hillary and Cindy ".
I looked up, and saw who it was.
She was walking right past me, I blasted her, I said, "Shame on Code Pink, they support terrorist's ", I said that they harass military familes visting Walter Reed Hospital , Shame on Code Pink, etc. She certainly wasn't expecting that.
The hag had nothing to say and was quickly hustled away to the confines of the Cindy Tour RV.
The lefties were to have marched down to Town Point Park, a few blocks away. They must have dispersed for chow, as they didn't make their way there directly.
Supposedly they were to have a candlelight vigil there. The ladies and the Suits were disbanding and had no intention of sticking around for the vigil so everyone went seperate ways.
I waited at the park for an half hour but only a few lefties were there.
I probably need some lessons in tact, but I was happy with the outcome. I shouldn't have been surprised that all the media glommed onto the leftys.
Couldn't make it. AN issue at work kept me there until nearly 9 pm. Sounds like o one showed up for her though.

They use the "Cindy is going to appear" hook to get the media and other leftwingers to turn up at their rally's.
I'm sure the ladies were glad when you came to stand with them. There always seem to be dubious types lurking at lefty rallies.

While on my way to Norfolk, a local radio station said that Cindy was " holding a press conference " in Norfolk ! I said, No Way ! That wench isn't even in Norfolk!
At least one TV station exposed the Cindynista's duplicity.
Norfolk organizers told us Sheehan herself would be in Norfolk, but we learned she was in Baltimore.

The reporter and photographer that I identified as "lefties" were employees of the Virginian Pravda.
