"Cindy Sheehan may be the Rosa Parks of the anti-war movement."
This is actually accurate, but not in the way that the Village Voice means it.
Parks was HIRED by the NAACP to get on the bus and raise a ruckus. She was chosen because she would be such a sympathetic character for the cameras.
This is no secret, except for the media and the history and school books. But Parks herself happily admitted it. As did the NAACP members who were involved.
Similarly, the terrorist supporters had been casting around for a good face for their efforts, when Cindy pushed herself forward. But she was actually chosen by Michael Moore and Code Pink and mostly by the Veterans For Peace.
She didn't just happen. She has been working on this angle for months.
(None of this is to imply any moral relevance between the civil rights movement and the support the terrorists movement. Or to make any unfavorable comparisons to Rosa Parks or the civil rights movement of her time, both of which I commend whole-heartedly.)

Source please. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.
I believe most reasonable people disagree with segregating public transportation. In that sort of situation I don't have a problem with a planned confrontation.
However; when people create a situation where one would not likely exist and it's selectively filmed then, essentially, they are lying.
Comparing Rosa Parks to today's leftists is absurd.
Not to mention, Rosa Parks wasn't pimping the memory of her son that chose to do something she didn't agree with.
