But you are right...he does a perfect American accent...

A perfect, snide American accent.

He cracks me up!

"If my brother dies, I will destroy everything you love."

"So I take it I was right about that Mafia thing."

Looks like "24" had plenty of actors there.

I just have to say this. Is it just me or is Kyra Sedgwick just ugly?

The most annoying character on the show, period. She'll be back next season. GAG!

Being snide is what I like about the House character...

You know, my older boy had leukemia, and was in the hospital for long periods of time...he really did not like it when some doctors and nurses were too sweet with him...he much preferred the spunky, snide, wise cracking, joking docs and nurses, who did their job of treating him,, but treated my son as a teenager who loved fun...when they were too sweet with him, he was afraid he was going to die...when they treated him as normal, and joked with him, his attitude was, Hey, I am going to be ok...he knew the reality of his situation, but preferred to be treated as just a normal kid, who was sick, not as a sick kid who was dying...

My son would have loved House for a doctor..

When I was younger, I dabbled with being a successful smartass. I was never very good at it, because, unlike House, I didn't have writers backing me up.

That is one of the other reasons I like the character. He says things I wish I had the imagination and the quickness to say.

I know what you are saying...the writers can be so clever...we just dont have personal writers in real life...

Hugh Laurie should've won best actor and "House" best drama, which those idiots didn't even nominate it for because they had to genuflect in front of their Clinton fantasy, "The West Wing," one more time. I don't get the hype over "Lost," and think it will probably fade in season two the way "Twin Peaks" did, when people start to shake off the initial hysteria and realize that there's far less to it than meets the eye. And what is with Hollywood's tongue-bathing of "Arrested Development?" I've tried to watch that thing and really don't get what is supposed to be so good about it (doesn't help that it's full of leftists like David Cross, who I last saw on Jimmy Kimmel's show in a DU T-shirt). A friend of mine, also a professional writer like me, called a month or so ago just to ask what I thought of that show. When I told him, "Not much," he said, "THANK YOU! I'm so sick of people telling me how great it is when it just isn't!" Juding by the ratings, we aren't the only ones who disagree with Hollywood's opinion.

Even writers are not good at comebacks most of the time, unless there's a chance for us to sit down and think about it.

I happen to think Arrested Development is hilarious. It's purely a matter of taste and personal preference, though. I like the quirky, sometimes surreal gags. De gustibus non est disputandem

Not sure if she appeals to everyone - but I think she's funny! Although I hardly ever watch her - but when I do I think she's pretty quick witted and generally kind. I don't care too much for the "put down" humor.
