"You know... (Katrina) is a positive thing for our country."

Yeah Billy Jeff, and in the Middle Ages the Black Death solved Europe's housing shortage too. (a$$hole perkerwood)

Now there's a man who needs a disaster to come along and wash away everything he owns. Many experienced that because of the hurricane. Everything they owned, everything they had to pass down to their children, their livelihood, and some of them lost their children too.
But, as long as the Democratic Party benefits, it's all to the good, eh?

> GAG, spoken like a true globalist, Slick.

You will note that his shindig in NY is the *Global* Initiative. Not the Peace Init, not the Poverty or the Aids Init. Want someone to take the reins of the World Government? The schlickmeister is at your service.

WARNING: The following is not for trhe weak of stomach!

If I had the power, I would sentence "Scrappleface" and Jezebel to live the rest of their putrid lives as farmers in North Korea.

If they did well, they could find grass to eat in the summer. (All the shipments of food from compassionate nations and individuals is being sold by the government on the black market. You know what they do wiih the money. Think MILITARY!) If they couldn't find grass (it's brown in the winter), they would be shot for eating corpses.

(These gory details come from actual reports of refugees from the North Korean imitation of Hell, your regular showcase of collectivism, Hillary style)

> what we need on FR is more threads that have to do with what [c]linton thinks.

Yes, but it's bad for my blood pressure.

Clinton CONFIRMS what many believe about democrats...they view human tragedy as an OPPORTUNITY for themselves...

We recall that Clinton was disappointed that 9/11 didn't occur on his watch, so that he could use it for a back drop to his legacy building.

Clinton is supposed to be so intelligent, yet says something like this that is so transparent and self serving.

> Please don't hang on like Carter.

Look at it this way. He isn't even 60...if the impeached POS hangs on like Carter, we'll be able to bash clinton for at least another 20 years.

Clinton also expressed hope that the disaster would bring the races closer together.

It has in Texas but some evacuees aren't comfortable around non blacks. Click

Barbara Bush said something to the effect that the hurricane, and the ensuing evacuation to other cities was "working well" for the evacuees, and the media pounced all over her for being "insensitive". But Clinton states it was positive, and that's just fine?

If Hurricane Katrina has taught us anything its that you can't count on the government to help you at all. You need to take your life and well being into your own hands. Other then general emergency managemnt (police, fire and rescue) it seems the government fails to do anything right when it comes to taking care of its people.

""You know, we all hate government until we need it. So as a Democrat I think that is a positive thing for our country."

Clinton also expressed hope that the disaster would bring the races closer together.""

OMG.. and then there is speach and the speach was bad and dangerous.

From the Example of New Orleans and the gulf coast region.. it should teach that the Government can not take care of everyone!

You noticed that he said this on a British Television show?

Also Clinton can not really use the Races card one..

I'm saying this in case no one else does:

Toon, what Katrina has shown is a 180 from what you are bloviating. Except for the military (which you "loathe") - the American people are seeing how govt only gets in the way if it even bothers to activate it's own plan as was NOT done in LA.

No rational person thinks we need more government - the failure of the nanny state is on display for all to see. In addition to its own ineffectiveness, it has created a class of people that are too dependent/dumb to get out of their own way.

What is it now $6 TRILLION ? thrown at the War on Poverty in the last 40 years and poverty is more entrenched than ever.

This is just a rewording of what Hillary said: We're going to take your money and give it to the poor. Pure Socialism!!

My aunt is a nun in Brazil. There was a flood in their Town. The local people wouldn't even lift a shovel to dig a ditch or clean their own streets. They were waiting for the government.

Bill Clinton, in another one of his deeply insightful, "What I would have done or said if I was still your President" reflective moods.
It never ceases to amaze me that this disgraced failure can utter the most obvious, mundane "thoughts" on any topic and the MSM hang on every word like it was a deep and profound message coming from the Oracle on Mt. Olympus rather than the rat poop they really are.
Your average university frosh student could cobble together an essay containing these observations - and probably be able to add a few more to boot.

Unfortunately, much of the press coverage of Katrina is demonstrating that mentality exists here more and more each year.

Yeah, I noticed. Do you remember that old song called, "YOU'RE SO VAIN"? I'm telling ya that NOBODY fits the song's title better than X42! If Global Warming was ever proven to be true, they would find out that the real cause of it would be all of the HOT AIR spewed out daily by him.
