Great post Peach!
It seems the same gang that could not get the busses running for the storm had no problem using them to get the vote out.

I'm pretty sure that Tom Delay was being sarcastic.

Clinton would like to see an honest debate in the upcoming congressional elections. Says we don't have to call each other names anymore. Says we need to rethink how we relate to the poor, doesn't think the government has to do it all.

He also said that if "we'd" have had vans in New Orleans, people could have gotten out with their belongings.

How does Clinton look today last time I saw him with 41 he looked old than 41. He looked really bad on ABC. I wonder if he'll still be around in 2008.

Just be sure to have the remote in hand when Russert's head disappears under the table and Clinton starts grunting. That visual.......tears running down cheeks! And, you owe me a new keyboard.

snugs, the left complained that Afghanistan and Iraq were not finished in 24 hours. This won't be any different, and the left will be carping about it to get political points. It has nothing to do with actually getting the job done right.

Good point also Clinton sucks up to the BBC and Blair has serious problems with them because the BBC basically cannot work Blair out because he does not fit the conventional Socialist mould.

I predicted about a year ago that 08 would be a billion dollar presidential race. I think Bubba just upped the ante.

Wow! There's a novel approach- government doesn't have to do it all?
Is it possible # 41 might be having an effect after all?
Is Timmy kissing up to him?

I was out pulling weeds during the first part of this interview. Pray tell, did Timmy Russert ask clintoon how it felt to be betrayed on global warming at his own conference, by his old pal Tony Blair?

It's called a setup move in politics - Delay is forcing the Democrats to say their is more to cut - he will then force them to say where. Sorry, but that's the most idiotic suggestion I've heard on this forum in a month of Sunday's. The many who sheparded the Transportation Bill, the Agriculture Bill, the Prescription Drug Bill and the current Disaster Recovery Bill through the House is doing it just to set the Democrats up? A smart man would take the initiative and propose solutions where the money is to come from. He would identify where to cut pork from the bills I mentioned and then dare the Democrats to defend the pork. But DeLay has no interest in doing that because, no doubt, he honestly believes that under 11 years of Republican leadership that the government is lean and mean, and not larger and more bloated than anything under the Democrats. Proof positive, if any more proof is needed, that DeLay got out of the bug extermination business because he was tired of being outsmarted by his opposition.

Delay is forcing the Democrats to say their is more to cut - he will then force them to say where. Could be. First off will be the "bridge to nowhere" in Alaska I'm sure.
My take on Clinton: Old slick Willie will remain in the spotlight until '08, working his butt off for Katrina, Tsunami, and whatever "popular" issue pops up. Just watch.
It is now October '08, Hillary is the Democratic nominee, the race is too close to call and all of a sudden; Wouldn't you know it?, slick Willie has a major medical issue, concerning the heart of course, and the docs are not sure he will pull through.
Hillary's numbers skyrocket via the "sympathy" votes and she wins a close one. Slick Willie miraculously survives and serves as "First Husband". Hopefully one term only.
