Additionally, the PA destroyed over 3,000 greenhouses purchased by American Jews to employ Gaza Palestinians, and Israel left millions of dollars of infrastructure in Gaza to get their economy growing. The Palestinians must have thought they were in New Orleans.
****
Seriously, that destruction of the greenhouses was the sickest!

RICE: "We welcome the completion of the Israeli disengagement from Gaza. This is an historic moment for both sides, and the commitment of both sides to be a successful disengagement process has been impressive." didn't she make that staement BEFORE all that crap happened?

"Secretary Rice, just name ONE fulfilled commitment on the part of the Palestinians or their leadership other than that terror will continue? "
They accepted our money.

I was a huge fan of Condi Rice until she made the statement,
"That the disengagement in the Gaza was a good first step for Israel".
What we are doing will eventually lead to a slaughter of either the Israelis or more than likely the slaughter of Palestinians.
You've emboldened the Palestinians into thinking they are responsible for pushing the Israelis out and that they have the power to continue on to Jerusalem. Big mistake. The same mistake we made in Afghanistan after the Russians left. We left the Arabs over there thinking they were responsible for the Russians bugging out.

Your eyes and ears don't decieve you.
Your "noggin" does.
This is the "set up".
Give one second to " What's next?".
Or, are you a a melodramatic part of the setup?

At the risk of winning the understatement-of-the-day award, I'll say that President Bush has done a lot of good for the US and the world. And this isn't the place to criticize him, but he is not as conservative as he could be, nor will he let anyone else in his administration be as conservative as we wish they were.
He is no divider, but a compromising uniter. He is constantly reaching out to the Democrats, and he expects Israel to reach out to the ROP fanatics. These practices embolden those who would destroy the US and Israel.
No doubt he'll select a moderate nominee for the Supreme Court in a few days; someone who won't irritate the Dems too much, or raise unpleasant talk about nuclear option. And I won't be around to see it, but the next Republican candidate for President will be a RINO---possibly Dr. Rice, who is currently not surrounded by people likely to tell her how hopeless such a candidacy would be. She has no political base. Who votes the Globalist ticket? Who wants the UN having the power to tax, who wants the Law of the Sea Treaty binding America, who is pro-choice? That's her base, and they'll be voting for a Democrat.
As for Israel, it's clear the US has decided to cut and run. Now more than ever, Israel needs a leader like Netanyahu. That is, if they want to survive.

Actually, if she made this statement before all this happened - she has made equally fatuous statements (along with our State Department) SINCE it has happened. You can check out recent writings on www.jewishworldreview.com to find plenty of documentation on these statements.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other poster about President Bush abandoning Israel - despite his professed affection for and embrace of Natan Sharanky's statements. Early on, the strategy appeared to be to let the PA commit itself, give them rope and then let them hang themselves and pay the price for not living up to the agreements.
Unfortunately, the actual result in action has been to continue the policy of blithely ignoring reality, put on a happy face, screw the Israelis, and then not holding the PA or the Palestineans or the Arab states accountable to do anything they said they would do.
I think the other poster is correct, Bush will run out the clock, put in a moderate to leftist Supreme Court nominee, and expect the leftist media to write how he has 'grown' in office. Meanwhile, RINO's will continue to dominate the party, the country will suffer, and - the Republicans will either continue to enact the Democrat agenda and eventually return to the minority where they are comfortable.

Good post! Let's see now, we've been waiting how many years for the PA to make a concrete move that even looks like peace? Unfortunately, this has been all one-sided. I cannot believe that our presidents are so blind. Why all the PC? Let's just tell it like it is for once.

Sharon willingly made this deal. He thinks it will benefit Israel. On the US side, Bush renounced the Palestinian right of return and accepted the idea of a permanent advance in Israel's West Bank borders.
Israel can survive a Palistinian Gaza. If it demonstrates the impossibility of Israel surviving a Palestinian West Bank state, it may well be worth it.

Prove me wrong. Did the US not favor the Gaza pullout? And is that not a concession to terrorists who openly advocate the destruction of Israel?
