September 17, 2005 In New York Cribs, Jeff and Lisa Give Way to Ahmed and Chaya By JENNIFER 8. LEE In the last several years, New York City has had more baby girls named Fatoumata than Lisa, more Aaliyahs than Melissas, more Chayas than Christinas. There have been more baby boys named Moshe than Peter, more Miguels than Jeffreys, more Ahmeds than Stanleys.

It's' not fascinating, it's reality. Minorities are out-reproducing the former majorities.

Names speak to parents' aspirations for their children.Mordechai is likely to get their poor son punched on the playground. Apparently, Hillary has fallen into obscurity, but where is Bill?

Some good news:

Mordechai is likely to get their poor son punched on the playground. And own a string of mega-producing jewelry stores by age 30.
To: paulat
We're both correct.....I find there's nothing more fascinating than reality.

There was a doctor at the county hospital who delivered a lot of babies for Welfare Mothers.
When one asked him to please name her baby he said he liked "Formica Diane" and by golly that is what she named her little bundle of joy.

Two kids here: Arthur IV (Ray) and Annie Marie. Good ole simpleton names for my kids. I guess I'm not a hip 26-year-old.
Congrats on the son. <-They are a blessing.

An Afro American cracker hater in my company named her son "Master". This was so that white people would have to call him that when they addressed him. I cant make this stuff up.

Minorities are out-reproducing the former majorities. That and the mass influx of illegals. In Texas last month, Jack in the Box started airing Hispanic commercials on English tv channels (excuse me, but I subscribed to English channels for a reason - hello, I don't speak Spanish). Now, McDonald's is placing two menus in the drive-thru; the Hispanic menu is first followed by the English.

I guess "Formica" is more feminine sounding than "Spandex"....

[Brooklyn], a combination of two girls' names, Brooke and Lynn, has soared up the list of the nation's top 1,000 female baby names since 1990, landing at No. 101 in 2004. But in New York City, Brooklyn has barely registered, appearing nowhere in any of the Health Department rankings."New Yorkers hear Brooklyn, and they have an image of a place, despite its many charms, that doesn't seem very delicate and feminine," Ms. Wattenberg said.
.
Consolation to all so named, it's better than Flatbush.

LOL. I was looking at the list and thought the same thing, However, since 9/11, there has been a dramatic rise in the number of kids named Osama in the USA. Sickening.

That kis is going to get worked. Kids can be pricks. I give 3/1 that for at least a little while that kids goes by a middle name, but then when he flourishes into a full-fledged militant (<- not making assumptions, rather going off the attitude of the mother) Master will make a roaring comeback.
