Blair ‘shocked’ over BBC Katrina coverage
Financial Times ^ | Friday Sep 16 2005 .

Tony Blair was shocked by the BBC's coverage of Hurricane Katrina's devastation of New Orleans, describing it as “full of hatred of America”, Rupert Murdoch, chairman and chief executive of News Corporation, revealed on Friday night.

Mr Murdoch, a long-time critic of the BBC who controls rival Sky News, said the prime minister had recounted his feelings in a private conversation earlier this week in New York.

"Many on this forum might be shocked at how anti-American the British press is, starting with that miserable socialist propaganda machine, the BBC, who run hit pieces on Bush and the USA on a daily basis (and love-ins for Chavez). I consider Tony Blair to be a loyal ally in the war on terror. As for Britain in general, from this point on, it's a question mark."

-from my post of 09/11/2005. Its not Just Katrina reporting that is full of hatred for America.

I can't believe it took Blair this long to realize what most of us have long ago...

How sad,..... the Beeb used to be the most respected and reliably even reporting radio news source of the entire world, now it makes Pravda and Tass look fair.

There is a core in Britain that are with "us". But then, like in the U.S., there is a core that are against us. On international issues, their is no better friend than Blair.

As for the rest of them, Israel would be thrown in with the group as a good ally. It is pretty amazing that that's all their is. The others want money and protection.

The BBC has an especially angry and hate-filled anti-American bigotry. I watched some of their coverage of the war in Iraq when I was on a visit to London and it was stomach-turning. It made CNN look like Human Events. Of course, they hate Blair too now.

Yeah, but when the world gets in trouble, whose number do they call first? 800-OVAL-OFFICE!

Britain, Australia, and Japan.

I have my doubts about Israel, since they not only spy on us, but sell our technology to China. Biting the hand that feeds you does not a true friend make.

America and Israel have something closer to a marriage than to a friendship.

"Biting the hand that feeds you does not a true friend make."

Our hands probably have bitemarks from everyone, except Australia.

When did Britain and Japan bite our hands? (Honest question.)

Then Israel is showing signs of adultery. We need to get Vinnie Parco over here.

Blair should be much more shock if he was to see news from Al Jazeera, the French, Candaian and German media about the anti-Americanism in their news. BBC is sweet compared to those.

You think that's bad? I got an email from Canada. It told me to type into Google's search engine "failure" then click "feeling lucky" Google is BIASED! A shame it's promoted so much by the conservatives.

I worked overseas for many years and would always turn to BBC London for the World News and at that time I got the truth. Today I can get BBC at the click of my mouse on my computer. I never bother to do this. They shade the news, make up the news, and sometimes just flatly lie. The greatest news organization that has ever existed has destroyed itself due to the left wing ideologists that run it.

Very Minor.
Britain: complaining about middle-eastern brits at GITMO(before their subway attacks)(For the record, Blair has been an outstanding War time leader for international issues);
Japan: more economic in regard to trade.

But no one is perfect. Even I occasionally have spirited debate with my brothers.
