The usually unflappable Rice was wide-eyed when she was shown a copy of the photo yesterday during a meeting with The Post editorial board.
"Oh, my goodness . . . there are no secrets," she said, laughing.
Rice explained that when Bush handed her the note, she told him all he had to do was get up and go, and that she'd take his seat while he answered nature's call.
The Security Council session continued uninterrupted during Bush's brief absence.

If the media wanted to forge it, they would have had Bush writing to Condi, "Meet me for a quickie at the Plaza Hotel, 5 PM."

You're telling me. I can't believe we're still talking about this. LET IT GO, people. To the average Joe who barely follows the news it must just sound ridiculous. Which, of course, it is!

Compare and contrast the media reaction to the two pictures, and you'll get my point.

They wouldn't treat Saddam Hussein that way. Well, uh, not to quibble, but we do know if he wears boxers or briefs after all.

***This story has officially been deprecated from a conspiracy to commit fraud to simply another attempt by the MSM to embarrass our esteemed President. Can we lay off the forgery threads now?***
If you can't recognize that that was a FAKE Condi speaking - an impostor hired by the MSM - then you need to take remedial remote viewing classes my friend!!!!!
Sheesh!!!!
Viva la conspiracy!!!!

On another thread I mentioned that by going public with this, MS has burned one of their intel sources.
Want to bet that this is the FIRST time a photographer has used a telephoto and photoshop to read what's on the lecterns of our leadership? They published it, so the capability and intent to use the capability is known.
Except of course John Kerry. When there were questions about whether or not he had notes or a PDA during one of the debates, not a single shot was to be seen of the top of his lectern.
But, now, our leadership will take care, I'm sure, that this sort of intel failure does not happen again. Or I hope so.

This is another example of poor leadership, Bush MUST resign and turn the presidency over to either Gore or Kerry.. I'm not sure which one is next in line, can someone here help me out?

Heavens to Betsy!
I'm going to swoon. I have the vapors.
The President had to take a leak.
My, my, what, they couldn't find a missing girl story or celebrity foible to devote hours and hours and days and days of news coverage? Covering Tony Blair's decision to call Kyoto an abject failure must have been too difficult.
At least we can rest assured that the editors and writers of Reuters know that a pee-pee, and probably poo-poo are REALLY BIG STORIES. (Oooo---pee-pee, Ooooo!)
PS - New York Times! Yo! I hear Brittany Spears had a C-section to "avoid the pain of natural childbirth."
Do I get paid for that tip. After all, that should be your story for next six months especially when she has to pee..

This really takes the cake. I had no idea that neo con Bush had use a bathroom like common people. He should be impeached next week.
Thank goodness the media is fulfilling it's role as a watchdog.
Now, back to our protector and defender; Cindy Sheehan.

The use of photoshop is bad journalism practice and akin to fraud. This is another example of Bush being too much of a gentleman: He pissed in the UN rather than on it as he should have.

Bush MUST resign and turn the presidency over to either Gore or Kerry.. I'm not sure which one is next in line, can someone here help me out? The line of succession is clear in a case like this. The last President takes over, which would put Billy Jeff in the Oval Office except that he's in the sink room at the moment...

Now, as for the fact that the photo was enhanced using PhotoShop, consider
this CNSNews article on the photo.
According to the person who did the Photoshopping, "This is a standard practice for news photos... and the picture was not manipulated in any other way.
According to a Washington-based Reuters editor, the particular type of editing done is NOT permitted. "We have corporate rules against that and anybody who did that would be, would be fired immediately."
Seems there is some conflict on that point. I have to be honest: I actually believe the Photoshopper. When I read the CNSNews article carefully, I detect a bit of "bad polling". That is, I think they asked the Reuters editor a stronger question about "doctoring" of a photo. As conservative-friendly as CNS News is, they're not always the most professional.
And more importantly, what is NOT in question is the content of the note; it was as pictured.

I have a feeling that our esteemed President is getting a good laugh out of this. He has a great sense of humor and a very thick skin.
