Now it looks like a man's middle-eastern head-dress...what's going on with these people? Can't they just put up a traditional, beautiful statue like normal people would? Do we have to be so artsy-craftsy and use a tablecloth? How is that supposed to be symbolic of anything but a celebration of food? Who chose these people?

As stupid as the original design is, I fail to find the humor in turning this into a joke. You are to be commended for your willingness to acknowledge youe limitations.

I fail to find the humor in turning this into a joke The joke itself is humorous, isn't it? The original design was a joke, too. Remember the three laughing Buddhist monks.

Humor is usually the best way to cut through bs and crystalize core issues.
Most people talk way to much and say too little.
Humor helps allows less talking and allows the real issues to brought to light.

The author wasn't serious--he's just replacing one symbol of terrorism with another, to show how absurd and disgraceful the original was.
Good job, by the way, MA. :)

Fair enough and I was a bit too harsh. I apologize.
