The MSM could not even report Hurricane Katrina accurately. They are Progressive. Everything they do is tainted with progressive politics. We use to call it 'Liberal Paintism' on the old-school Internet news groups. But the times, they are a changing.
Too true.
The old established/liberal/socialist media is America's most ruthless, relentless, and destructive enemy.

What is more, you even get the same conclusions on the sports, tv reviews, recipe pages, and gardening sections. They all must join the same club when they go to work at the newspapers.
I work for a major daily newspaper. It's astonishing: these people believe they are the most intellectually gifted around, yet there's hardly an independent thinker among them. Their thoughts are in lockstep with each other. They work to please themselves and each other. They are full of themselves because, after all, they are so smart and thus they deserve the right to determine what news the people read, and how that news should be massaged to fit their agenda. They don't especially like me. They know I work for pro-life organizations (they tried to get me fired once for the pro-life work that I do on my own time), that I'm a Christian, that I vote conservative, etc. It baffles them when I do things in the office such as conceive and direct a program to aid the homeless. I'm somewhat amused but also saddened when I cheerfully say "Hi" to the most arrogant of them, and they barely, if at all, turn their head in acknowledgement. I must remember this, though: I need to pray more for them, for after all, I'm a sinner just as they are. I'm saved by Jesus Christ dying on the cross for me to pay for my sins.
Thanks for posting this. You're so right...his remarks were lost in the post Kristina Bush bashing.
The fact that the media only report what the left wants to hear, and nothing more, will be the downfall of the Democratic party. They are the proverbial frog in water, and the MSM is heating it up. The water will boil, and the frog will die.
Why do we bow down under it? We must create own own media.
"Thank you, and thanks to the United States, there are now 50 million Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq liberated by your courageous leadership and decision to liberate us, Mr President.
"We agree with Mr President Bush that democracy is the solution to the problems of the Middle East. Mr President, you are a visionary, great statesman. We salute you."
The truth is out there!
Last night on the President's speech thread there was a lot of negativity, and that is what the Old Media is all about. Negativity is a creeping disease, and it seeps into our attitudes when we are not even aware of it.
These words by the Iraqi president should warm our hearts. This is how our forefathers probably felt away from the religious tyranny and class oppression. They faced huge problems, but I think they faced it with optimism and hope.
We are a spoiled nation. We may disagree with the President, that is our right. But President Bush is a man with a heart and a vision surrounded by a positive spirit. We should give him credit for that more often.
They've lost the Iraq war. They lost it in last November's presidential elections. They just don't realize it yet.
Dan Rather is history now because he failed to realize how vulnerable he really was. The rest of the MSM is in the very same boat. They may be ruthless, relentless, and destructive but they are surrounded and headed for defeat.
Hang in there and continue to let your light shine!
But he instead turned to Bush and said: "In the name of Iraqi people, I say to you, Mr President, and to the glorious American people, thank you, thank you. Thank you, because you liberated us from the worst kind of dictatorship. Our people suffered too much . . .
Are you that 'mild mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper'?
Didn't you know that New Orleans "dodged a bullet?"

On that note, everyone should see this thread:

The only thing I saw was Talabani saying in two years they would only need a few bases full of Americans and Rumsfeld looking uncomfortable. This president. So right in some ways, so wrong in others.
But one thing I will always like about him, one thing that got him the vote of even some democrats that disagreed with everything he stands for. He may be wrong but he's never uncertain. That's the mark of a TEXAN!
Mr. Williams made an astounding statement that has stuck in head ever since.
He said that as a group, people entering colleges as education majors (going to be teachers and administrators in the education industry) made the lowest scores on their SAT exams. He said that the next lowest group was journalism majors.
His point was that we have the least capable teaching our children and next least capable telling us what is happening in our world.
After all, you must have some degree of intelligence to realize that there are others smarter than you.
