I'll give Bobby Dim credit for some common sense on this one. Of course, crime has skyrocketed under his watch, and people are leaving Montgomery in droves. I don't feel safe in Montgomery, even in the neighborhood where I grew up. Baseball teams and new building projects(which conveniently benefit the mayor's friends)are good, but when people don't feel safe going out in public, then the mayor is not doing his job.

the city of Montgomery does offer a firearms safety course free of charge.

Wow!

When I got my CCW license here in Texas the course was taught by 2 county deputy sheriffs free of charge. Some municipalities actually get it.

This ranks with the Attorney General of South Carolina ordering all prosecutors not to go after residents who shoot home invaders, adding "It is now open season on home invaders." Home invasions in SC plummetted. I wonder why?

There was a similar sort of thing some years ago, with a lot of rapes in Orlando. There was a big program to teach women how to shoot and get CCWs, and the rapes plummeted.
