I agree with you: there will never be a prosecution in this case. Beth is back in the US. I can't imagine how she will move on without the answers she has so desperately and bravely fought for. Her girl is gone forever and she may go to her grave not knowing how or why. I can't imagine anything more horrible.

"I love the place, and the average joe there will give you his shirt, if you need it!"
ACtually, I'm only interested in three shirts - and low lives who wear them.

Oh, no thanks. I can live forever without seeing Shoji Tabuchi and the other has-been acts! Seriously, that place is for old people.

Nor can I! I would probably lose my mind! Those "boys" are so smug and arrogant, they will probably brag about what they did sometime, somewhere to someone, and it will finally come out, but it will be too late to prosecute them. Does Aruba have a statute of limitations?

Hollywood sympathetic to a young white American!? Surely you jest!

I wonder where my vacation $$$ are going to be spent ??? Certainly not Aruba. Our family has been talking about a family cruise, but it won't be to Aruba! Does anyone have an address in Aruba where we can let them know how corrupt we think their legal system is. I would not be surprised to learn all three of these boys plus the DJ who lied for them (and claimed he didn't know them)are involved in a sex ring and drug cartel.

Dutch government supervises Aruba.
The Dutch do not want Aruba. They tried to give Aruba Independence. The US complained to the UN that Aruba is run by the MAFIA and should not be granted Independence until organized crime was no longer in control. The Dutch caved to international pressure and kept responsibility for Aruba. They can't get rid of the mobsters because the mob is supported by the American War On Drugs and the Dutch have no control over American law or American mobsters.
The corruption in Aruba is a result of American policy that changed Aruba from an oil refinery to a money laundering economy. Don't blame the Dutch. The Vander Sluts are a mob connected family who do not answer to Dutch or American law.
If you want justice, put the heat on American and Italian crime families. That will piss them off and the Vander Sluts will find themselves on a mob hitlist.

whatever. People need our coin all over the world. We don't owe them nuthin. And giving me his shirt? Well, I'm sure everything is negotiable, but I doubt the giving part.
The government never searched the vanderslut estate. Nuff said.

Geraldo was just on O'Reilly saying that Van der Sloot's (van der SLUT per O'Reilly) Dutch confession was translated to English after being obtained by mom Beth Twitty - he says the confession says this:
Joran's statements:
- admits taking Natalee to his HOME around 1:40 am and having sex with her repeatedly as she was in and out of consciousness (no reason given for this)
- took her back to beach where he says Kalpoe brothers took over and took turns (gang-raping) her
- ultimately they buried her body in the sand on the beach and he can point out exactly where it is (no cause of death given)
Points: can't charge rape without a victim... (?? even with confession??)
Can charge murder without body, however. (so...?)
