The speakers were on earlier. Now's the committee's chance to question them.
*SMILING* Thank you. That's one of the nicest posts ever.
Funny, Biden wants the Constitution to live and breather whereas I wish Biden would stop doing both.
Sorry, not very nice. Let's just call that a joke. Mheh.
What did I miss? I just saw the guy from the ABA and the first woman. I saw Hatch smacked someone down... that pleases me. Who was this guy? Biden was talking so he must be good.
Kyl...we can't know how Roberts would vote on cases that would come before him....in law, there is something called the best evidence rule...perhaps the best evidence of the kind of person Judge Roberts is is illustrated by the testimony of Ms. Stetson..who talked about her role as a young mother and aspiring partner in his firm...a person he helped to mentor..the kind of things she talked about in Judge Roberts..should not be forgotten...when we consider the nature of the man we are elevating to the nature of the USSC...it may be the best evidence of the way he will rule on cases as well.
Arlen's more of a fighter than Hatch, I think. Too bad he's not reliably on our side.
Fienstine....
And now DiFi --- doesn't she have a plane to CA to catch?
I am not and most likely never will be a memember of the Arlen Specter fan club. :)
That Greenberger is full of crap. Over 20 years ago I hired a number of women engineers. The corporation set the starting salary and it was typically 10% more than an equivalently qualified man, i.e. Grade Point Avg., experience, etc..
Quite welcome. I'm nothing if not brutally honest. Good or bad, always honest.
Two years ago at the confirmation hearing for John Roberts to the district Court Schumer was asking him some ridiculous questions and Hatch said to Schumer, "Those are some dumbass questions! "
Schumer asked him if he wanted that stricken from the record and Hatch replied something to the effect, "No, I want it to stand, I want everyone reading the transcript to know I think you are asking "Dumbass Questions"
You've missed TOO much for me to recount...lol.
Maybe someone else?
I missed that -- what happened?
No, we established that DiFi will travel to the West Coast by broom although there was some doubt as to whether she would ride her own broom or hitch a ride with Box-O-Rox. Maybe Drudge has figured it out.
Stay that way --- brutally honest --- it's one of my favorite qualities in people... and it's a rarity.
The African American guy was talking about Title IX and the benefits. Also complained something about not having gas money for the school bus.
Heck, almost anyone could have told him Mayor Nagin in NO had about 400 buses and he could have borrowed one.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Beautiful!
Hatch asked some lib lady shrill if her organization had EVER supported a judge nominated by a republican. She spun a while... and he asked her the exact same question again... and she spun a while... and he pressed her. It was pretty funny.
Who is this? She looks not so good.
