U.S. President George W. Bush writes a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during a Security Council meeting at the 2005 World Summit and 60th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York September 14, 2005. World leaders are exploring ways to revitalize the United Nations at a summit on Wednesday but their blueprint falls short of Secretary-General Kofi Annan's vision of freedom from want, persecution and war. Wasn't that disgraceful?
They couldn't be more obvious if they tried, could they?
Did you happen to catch the NPR "email" from the doctor in New Orleans where they left out ALL the positive things the doctor said about the aid coming in to the hospitals etc?
I sure can't.
And Condi sure doesn't write that way.
I am Gentile and a Texan. I went on a trip to Israel, led by a Rabbi. In a moment of private discussion about Texas, I jokingly mentioned that I had what every Texan wanted. A place big enough and private enough to pee off the front porch.
Recently spoke with my daughter in Miami. I was informed this became the subject of "polite" conversation over dinner a few weeks ago.
Still not sure what to make of it, if anything.
That was Billy Carter, (the only good one) Peeing on the corner of a garage in Plains, Ga.
Sure there is. And the bottom is sandy. LOL
I think they're desperate. I live in union thug Dem land. Dems have to have control at all times everywhere, and that makes their behavior very readable.
When they spin, they feel in control, confident and arrogant. When they do this kind of crude hatchet job, they're desperate, scared, losing control and frankly, more dangerous.
I've been thinking about that a lot watching the Roberts hearing.
I think they are finally realizing that they aren't going to be in power for a long, long time and they're just willing to do or say whatever it takes to try to get it back, even if it means dividing this nation; in fact, I think a divided nation -- perhaps even a race war -- would suit them just fine.
Unbelievable!!!!!!!!
I agree it doesn't look like his writing
But even IF he did
What the hell was the point of printing that photo???
Even the president needs permission to leave to relieve.
If he got up at the wrong time, it could have been reported as an affront to some country or to someone who was talking.
I hope you realize I was being sarcastic. -Tom
That is SO me...
Don't let my wife or family hear about this one...
I'll be getting that one for Christmas...
Matter of fact, I may try to get that one for my Dad...
Good idea...
The despots are fearful of losing their grip on America. Their media machine is breaking down and the propaganda isn't being swallowed so effortlessly.
In the early 1990s, the owners of the major league baseball teams held a meeting in Denver. Jerry McMorris, the owner of the new Colorado Rockies, decided to host a lunch not at a restaurant near the meeting site, but at a country club in suburban Castle Rock. It was a mistake. The men who own major league baseball teams are imperious types, with the attention span of a 4-year-old. They are not used to being herded onto buses for long drives. Worse, this bus got lost; the driver circled round and round. The mood on the bus got ugly. Gene Autry, the aging owner of the California Angels, needed to relieve himself. His wife went up front and said something to the driver. The bus pulled over to the side of the highway, where an embarrassed Autry got out and urinated. It was an awkward moment for everybody. Then, when Autry stiffly hoisted himself back onto the bus, George W. Bushs voice rang out: Hey Gene, you still got a great spray for a guy your age. A smile opened up on Autrys face and the bus exploded with laughter......
you bring up a point I have been thinking. How in the heck did a photographer get close enough to see personal notes between the two of them?!? What if what he wrote was of great national security!?
Precisely! It is not the words that are the scandal. It is the invasion of privacy - which libs SAY they value above all else.
I do now. :-)
I remember when I posted that article; it was when I actually subscribed to The Weekly Standard.
It was one of the articles that convinced me that Bush would make a good president.
If I recall correctly, it also put to rest some of the worst of the accusations (on FR) about Bush's business practices.
The other one was the Maureen Dowd article:
