Israel's leading known Kabbalistic Elder, Rabbi Yitzchak Kaduri called upon worldwide Jewry Tuesday night to return to Israel due to the natural disasters which threaten to strike the world.

In a class between between the Mincha (afternoon) and Maariv (evening) prayers at his Jerusalem yeshiva seminary, Rabbi Kaduri issued the following call:This declaration I find fitting to issue for all of the Jews of the world to hear. It is incumbent upon them to return to the Land of Israel due to terrible natural disasters which threaten the world.
Rabbi Kaduri also stated that the upcoming year would be a year of "secret and revelation" in the world. The Jewish year 5766 begins in less than three weeks, with the holiday of Rosh Hashana. The Rabbi explained that the numerical Hebrew abbreviation for 5766, tav, shin, samech, vav gives insight into the nature of the upcoming year. "This will be a year of secret (or sod, from the letter samech) and revelation (or v'giliu from the letter vav. Arutz Sheva Israel National Radio show host Yehoshua Meiri first publicized the declaration on his Hebrew radio show late Tuesday night. Meiri, who attended the class, typed out the words of Rabbi Kaduri's declaration and presented them back to the Rabbi who signed on the document. Associates of Rabbi Kaduri were dispatched to communicate the Kabbalistic Elder's call to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon before the latter's departure to the United States later in the same night. Meiri says he will publicize the signed declaration after Prime Minister Sharon delivers a speech in the U.S., in which he is expected to call upon the Jews of the Diaspora to make Aliyah (immigrate) to Israel.
Earlier this Jewish year, Rabbi Kaduri predicted great tragedies in the world. Just two weeks before the devastating tsunami in southeast Asia, Rabbi Kaduri was quoted in the Yediot Acharonot newspaper as saying:
Rabbi Kaduri said in the week prior to the interview, "What can save the world from calamities is real repentance by Jews, who must increase acts of kindness towards one another... The cry of the many poor in Israel and the expulsion of Jews from their homes shakes the world... It's not for naught that this place was hit, where many of our compatriots went to look for this-worldly lusts." The month of Elul, which immediately preceeds the Jewish New Year is traditionally a month of teshuva, or repentence by the Jewish people, in anticipation of the judgments that are incurred on the Jewish High Holidays of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. Rabbi Kaduri has told his students that the current government will be the last one of the "old era." He is on record as saying that Sharon will be the last prime minister in Israel, and that the new government will already have leadership of the Messianic era. |
I'd like to take my first trip there next year, but I don't think I could live there until they rescind their idiotic restrictive gun control laws.
The Arabs have lots of guns among their citizenry... Our guys blow up the Altalena over and over again.
Judges 5:8 "They chose new gods; then was war in the gates; was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?"
Thanks for the link. I found this link there, and it gives some good examples of the differences between the two Kaballah's:
I had no idea, before reading this info, that there was ANY difference between the two. Thanks to you both!
Christianity is a kind of Judaism...
Yup - the "Kaballah Center" is a fruity California cult.
The page you linked to has a great quote -
Shmuel Boteach went so far as to say "Earth to Phillip Berg: Do us all a favor and dump Madonna as your principal spokesperson. Sorry to be so crass, but Madonna is a slut. Yes, she may sing, and she may dance. But she is famous for being a slut. And no religion dare have a slut as its principal representative." He goes on to say: "[I]s the Kabbalah Center really so desperate that it is prepared to promote itself through a vulgarian whose main contribution to the culture is porn rock?"
"Christianity is a kind of Judaism..."
That's why Jews were expelled from England, Spain, France, etc... by the Inquisition, right?
Christian theology is that it has replaced the covenant with a new one.
Christianity largely sees Judaism is obsolete. That's kind of it's point.
Jews don't think Mosiach has come yet, and when he does, the eternal laws of the Torah will all still be binding... ALL, because when our Mosiach comes, the Temple will be rebuilt, not destroyed as it was after Jesus.
That's what Billy McKinney told me...
Too broad of a brush stroke there, friend.
Like, for instance, saying the Kairites and the Rabbinicals are all the same... Jews... right?
Not all Xtians persecuted, and not all Xtians hold to 'Replacement Theology'.
His name is Sephardic
"Like, for instance, saying the Kairites and the Rabbinicals are all the same... Jews... right?"
I don't know of any wars between Rabbinical and Karaite Jews, such as the wars between Protestants and Catholics. Karaites follow only the Tanach, while Rabbinical Jews also follow the oral traditions.
"Not all Xtians persecuted, and not all Xtians hold to 'Replacement Theology'."
I think that all Christians follow some sort of replacement theology, though not all to it's logical extreme, agreed.
For example, Christians universally believe that the promised Mosiach has already arrived. They celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday. They don't follow the dietary laws. This is all because of writings in the gospel such as (the ones that come to mind immediately) Paul and Luke and also the book Corinthians which purport to supercede the Mosaic law. Even the words used, "New Testament" vs "Old Testament" are easily interpreted as implying obsolescence.
but one is all it took-may the good lord take a liking to you.
Sorry about my syntactical errors:
call = called
Their = There
Lol. Yes, indeed. One is the number.
I am sorry and I would never want to demean your religion, but this sounds like superstition to me. I am not a religious person in any way.
Why do you type "Xtianity"?
Lazy. Nothing else.
Notice, even in a mid-sentence I will upper-case the X.
No I don't think so. The old covenants, (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, et. al.) are still in effect. God does not renege on contracts. However, the new and ever-lasting Christian covenant applies to all Christians and to Jews that will finally believe in Christ. As it says in the Zechariah chapter 11...they will look on him whom they have pierced and weep as a parent that has lost an only son...etc.
Imagine that!
From the time of David when Israel was divided into the Northern Kingdom (Israel) which comprised all but Judah and Benjamin, and the Southern Kingdom (Judah), which included only Judah and Benjamin, the name Judah (and particularly "Jew") began to develop into an iconic label for all of Israelite extraction. Much the same way as Kleenex is used generically as a term for all brands of tissue.
1. The division of the land of Israel into tribal territories is set forth in Exodus and Leviticus.
King David was the second ruler of the united Kingdom. The Kingdom split in two, when the Northern Tribes under Ephraim revolted against King Rehobam's taxes.
2. The term "Yehudi" or Jew was used for any subject of the southern kingdom, whether or not he was a member of the tribe of Judah. After fall of the Northern Kingdom and the influx of Northern Israelite refugees, Judah was the only remaining Israelite kingdom. The Northern Israelites who did not flee, where dispersed by the Assyrians and became "lost". (I happen to think that their descendants are Kurds and Pashtuns, but that is another matter.) At any rate, after the return from Babylonian exile, there was another split between Jews and Samaritans. The term "Jew" was used to reffer to any Israelite who followed the Priests centered around the rebuilt Temple on Mt. Moriah in Jerusalem. (Those Israelites and Assyrian settlers who followed the Priests at Mt. Gezerim became known as Samaritans.)
That is why I am not a Christian. Didn't Jesus say that not one dot of the Law would change? That means Leviticus, Exodus, etc...are still in effect for Christians, right?
A lot of those laws are ridiculous, I refuse to follow them.
