So I'm dreaming, and oddly enough, I find myself agreeing with Billary. Let's have us a full-blown independent commission investigate all those involved in the Sinking of New Orleans. We can wrangle us up a blue-ribbon committee of holier-than-though analysts, businessmen, and citizens. No politicians or lobbyists, since those are the two groups under investigation. To be fair, Bush has been in office five years, so lets go back five years before Bush, to 1995 and roll-up the facts.

Then I think, the voters need to mandate all State of Louisiana and Federal elected officials waive their individual sovereign immunity. Let's have our politicians face the same standard to which we hold a CEO for only negligence, fraud, and embezzlement. They are all saints, so there should be a rush to sign up. Of course if they didn't sign the waiver, that would be a a horse of a different color. Politicians with skin in the game, yea right, like I said I was just dreaming.

I heard that Louisiana officials say "the money wasn't misspent, the paperwork was misdirected..."

Don't you feel warm and fuzzy knowing that our senators have authorized billions of dollars in handouts compliments of us taxpayers to be used just like this for Katrina?

If you feel warm and fuzzy now, just wait until the drumbeat begins to compensate those "poor victims of FEMA who were left to drown in the wake of Katrina" with 9/11 style government settlement payments. You can call it "FEMA Abandoned Victims Fund."

An L.L. Bean briefcase and raincoat $200

Professional dues and charitable contributions $50,000

A trip to Germany. $3,000

Thousands dead. Priceless.

And I bet this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Louisana is a Criminal Enterprise.

The drumbeat has already begun. There is a story on Newsmax about it. Guess who is leading the charge? Yep, our old friend, The Reveruuuuuuundddd Jackson.

There are exceptions to sovereign immunity for failing to abide by the terms of a federal grant and for failure to prevent dangerous conditions on state real estate. Also, there are sometimes exceptions for instances of moral turpitude or reckless disregard in some states. And, then, of course, there is impeachment.

I really think there will be a deal in this nursing home case, because otherwise a smart lawyer will defend this case with an investigation into the failure of the state and city.

I believe Mitch Landrieu's wife is named Phillis, if I'm correct, she has her finger in the pie concerning schools. If it's her, she's a school board member for NO schools. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

LA was founded by river pirates: they landed on the first high ground they found, (Baton Rouge) and have run the State ever since.

Giving disaster relief money to LA politicians is like giving it to a con artist. You'd do a better job of recovery by sending it in cash in military vehicles to be strewn about the (dry) streets like confetti.

By Alex Davis

The Courier-Journal

Three Louisville women have been charged with felony fraud, accused of trying to cheat the American Red Cross in Jeffersonville, Ind., out of hundreds of dollars in Hurricane Katrina aid.

Red Cross officials said yesterday that they believe that the case is part of a pattern of deceit in Clark County, Ind., that may include at least seven other individuals and families.
