I'm so glad you enjoyed your few hours of flyby to this lovely step back in history, Luvvy!!

Figured out the wonderful French bakery on St. George Street I had so heartily endorsed must have closed and was replaced with another enterprise.
Realized the owner lady then was already elderly - time and changes march on, and she probably sold it.

[have never had anywhere such great Napoleans since then]

I recall being fascinated as a child (growing up in NYC) when I learned that St. Augustine was our 'oldest city. I wanted to visit it! And I did fulfill that dream about 7 years ago.

Now your wonderful account of its history & beauty has inspired me to go again!
