BATON ROUGE, United States (AFP) - Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco has accused the federal government of moving too slowly to recover the bodies of hurricane victims, saying her state would hire a private company to do the work.

"No one, it seems, even those at the highest level, seems to be able to break through the bureaucracy to get this important mission done," Blanco said as she met with state officials.

I'm not sure that "self crucifixion" for the failures of others is a good political strategy.

He puts our nation first.

He leads by personal example.

Our President has such good character, such solid bearing, and such a deep faith in our Father and in our nation, that it can make my heart ache.

And his strength of character, not caring who gets credit, but just wanting every job accomplished well has set up the democrats in a way that it has and will continue to diminish them in the eyes of our nation.

Never have so many supposedly astute statesmen and they cackling special interest groups looked so small. So childish. So selfish. And so irresponsible.

There's an old saying: "be careful what you pray for."

The Democrats, in their angst at being out of power and still failing to recognize the descendency of the MSM, still believe the truth will never come out. In this case, when the truth comes out, Blanco could face indictment and prison.

13% blame Bush personally. He's using that number to his advantage. The people are seeing an innocent man take the punishment for a crime he didn't commit. There is no greater love than for one man to lay down his life for another. He'll be rewarded for that.

Isn't this the same state administration that refused to allow Federal level entities, i.e., the military, permission to knock down doors of private homes in their quest to find NO & LA residents, alive or dead? Insisting they look thru mud smeared windows?

"I know people who are paid a good living by our government to play computer solitaire all day.

It's the 20/80 rule. 20% of the people do 80% of the work. It's where you work, where I work, and in the goverment.

I'm a 20 thank God!

hardly. every moonbat on the left now making accusations of every kind, including the outrageous racism allegations, will point to this "I take responsibility" statement, taken out of context but nonetheless on the record, to back up their assertions.

and in Congress, they will use this to bleed the federal budget dry for reconstruction funds. the cash spigot is going to look like one of the pumps de-flooding new orleans - that cash will be the measure by which the "responsible" party makes things right.

but I will be quiet now, since too many people are flaming me about this opinion - let's see what happens.

The problem will be if Hillary is elected she will continue to blame Bush no matter what happens.

It's alright to state your opinion. There's no wrong in that.

A man begins to be a man when he ceases to whine and revile, and commences to search for the hidden justice that regulates life. And as he adapts his mind to that regulating factor, he ceases to accuse others as the cause of conditions, and builds himself up with strong and noble thoughts; ceases to kick against circumstances, but begins to use them as aids to his more rapid progress, and as a means of discovering the hidden powers and possibilities he now has.
He's stolen the enemies fire. Now, it's time for him to use this circumstance as a stepping stone rather than a stumbling block.

What was it? The peter principle, incompetence rises to the top?

Perhaps, but more like one rises to the level of their competence. And then they go one step higher...
