Today, President Bush met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani in the Oval Office, and together they had a joint press conference in the East Room of the White House.

This afternoon, President and First Lady Laura Bush left the White House for New York City, where the President will address the United Nations.

Talabani's heartfelt thank you to our President and to us made my day. I think I'll print it up in special font on special paper and put it next to my picture of Dubya. Hmmm...naw, i'll put it where my die-hard liberal neighbor will see it when he drops in. BIG FONT needed so he can't miss it.

I'm having issues with some of my professors' politics being a little too obvious. I already told you about my English professor making us get a subscription to the NY Times. Then in my history class today, the professor was saying something about war and how it doesn't ever turn out the way you plan and then he said "Does it, George W.?" (As though he knew what President Bush had planned.) My American government professor is fairly obviously liberal but she's actually not too obnoxious about it. My international politics professor is a grad student and her syllabus has a line that's something like "If you can't guess my political ideology by the end of the semester, I've done my job correctly." Which would be true but I can tell she's a liberal even though I think she's making an honest attempt not to be overt about it. The only class I have other than those is Spanish and if she weren't actually speaking Spanish the whole time, I might be able to figure out her political persuasion as well. Whoever said something about how I shouldn't have a problem in Columbia, SC was severely mistaken.

The last time I wrote I received a letter back from GWB thanking me for my support. :) That was very nice, but certainly not the motiviation for me to let them know they are loved and appreciated!

Let us hear about your phone call!

Doesn't that just bring tears to your eyes? I get so angry with the idiots that said that the Iraqi people didn't want freedom or liberties. That some countries do better without it. It such an insane comment. I always would ask them if they wanted the freedoms they have. They would always look at me as if I were crazy and then say of course. Well, duh!
