The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

IF a judge can't defend LIFE, what good is he?

Are you really this obtuse?

Of course, you do realize, don't you, that if a judge can DEFEND life, then another judge can ATTACK life, right?

A judge is not an ADVOCATE of anything.

Unless of course you want an activist judge -- but I was under the impression that conservatives were against that.

Are you at the wrong forum?

Speaking of leaving this wonderful school lesson of Judge Roberts teaching our hapless representatives about the Constitution, does anyone know whether you can listen to the hearings on radio (not XM or Sirius). About to begin the long commute home and do not want to miss my wonderful senator from NY learning a thing or two from Judge Roberts.

Sessions would have made a great judge...

Yes he would. And I'll bet that the DemocRATS, more than once, have wished that they hadn't blocked his appointment.

But I'm glad that they did. He's a joy to watch in the Senate and a burr under the RATs' saddle.

You really are just as bad as a liberal. You just want Roberts to be a "judicial activist" for your position. Again, it's not his job to "defend babies." It's his job to apply the law, not to decide what he thinks the law should be. Of course, he may ultimately vote to overturn R v. W. So why would you criticize him for not voicing an opinion on future cases, when voicing that opinion would most likely lead to his non-confirmation?

Am I the only one who hates her politics but think she's an attractive woman (before she opens her mouth)?

C-SPAN has a radio channel -- but I don't know it.

Anyone?

Please help find a radio station so deputac can listen to hearing on the commute home.

Kennedy embarrassed? Never! RATS have no sense of shame, no sense of humility, and thirdly but most important, no sense of honor!

Listening to and watching John Roberts respond to the Senatorial inquisitors totally without notes is utterly amazing. Must have been like this to listen and watch Albert Einstein discuss the Theory of Relativity.
