The Dem playbook
The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:
Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

A horse is a horse, of course of course....
Who's up after Kyl?
The more Judge Roberts speaks, the more I Love him. They BETTER confirm him.
UH-Oh, don't like the answer that editorial writers didn't know if he was a liberal or a conservative.......sounds a a Anthony Kennedy wannabe.
Oh, I think it was too. I waited for the camera to pan Arlen. If it did, I missed it.
I love the exchange now between Kyl and Roberts. There's a meeting of the minds and both are engaged in what the other is saying. That's precisely what I was hoping to see during the hearings.
Everyone knows you'd get fat and lazy if you ate cat food. Geez, Louise.
Bird food, OTOH, isn't nutritious at all, for humans that is.
Dunno, but are you ready for Schumer or Leahy?
Leahy was after Specter already done for round 1, Schumer is before dinner.
He's much better than the one legged deaf muslim woman that Bush will nominate next.
It's Kohl, good......I can break away for awhile.
There is also the small matter of Justices swearing an Oath to uphold the Constitution, not foreign law.
He will definitely win confirmation. The democrats can only hope to batter him. It is impossible to trip up an honest man, so they've already lost.
French cuffs? sheesh
He'll get out of committee, that's for sure. And he has the votes for confirmation.
I wonder if the DEMs will threaten to abuse cloture for this nomination.
As any umpire knows the one closest to the action (constitution), decides.
Here's hoping Judge Roberts has Schumer FOR dinner.
Kohl. Think he'll get rude?
Absolutely, he also echoed that opinion.
