The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

In the big picture, the next shoe to drop is Bush naming Janice Rogers Brown for the O'Conner seat and putting the Dems in the box of attacking a black woman who has been nominated by a President who 'hates blacks'.

Can't wait for that!

This is a pre-emptive strike by Specter so that the RATS have to become even more shrill in their questioning.

Roberts was going to face these questions anyway; better that he go through this "minuet" with Specter than with Leahy et al.

Did Ted Kennedy cast his demonic soul into Specter's body this morning?

Specter is an ass

Didn't you know?? Being a Catholic Today almost AUTOMATICLY disqualifies you to be a judge!!

Libs claim that you might actually allow your personal beliefs to influence your decisions...

I'm missing it, thankfully. my C-span viewer is only showing lines, probably more entertaining than the chart.

Don't forget super-duper precedent.

I'm waiting for double-super-duper precedent.

Spector seems to argue that if the same people vote the same way a bunch of times, it should mean more than if they only do it once.

Rather than recognising that the fact it keeps showing up at the Supreme Court is indicative that the current state is unteneble.

I am TV-challenged. I am much more interested in Roberts' answers than in Specter's questions. Thanks.

I missed DiFi yesterday, but some C-span caller asked about that. Asked if she was trying to point out that Roberts is a Catholic.

Ok .. and Hitler murdering millions of jews has to deal with Catholic's ... how??
