Shielded from the sun by a large tarpaulin, Cindy Sheehan walked to the microphone dressed in blue denim shorts and no shoes, then blasted the policies of President Bush.
"Every time Bush talks he should be removed from office," Sheehan screamed into the microphone. "None of the chicken hawks have served our country the way our children have," she continued, referring to Bush and members of his administration who support the Iraq war but did not fight in previous conflicts.
Sheehan, co-founder of Gold Star Families for Peace, and more than 300 others gathered yesterday for a memorial service at Flagstaff Hill in Schenley Park. That was followed by a candlelight march to Soldiers & Sailors National Military Museum & Memorial in Oakland.

Hundreds of thousands stay home in support of the war in Iraq and do not support the anti-war kook balls.
Better to have not served than to have served as John Kerry did in his self-aggrandizing way, followed by coming home and trashing the military.

Islam will never run out of two things: 1) believers willing to die for the cause and 2) the ability to bring these idiots...er...."soldiers" to the point of the battle.
The US will never run out of two things: 1) the requirement that all things difficult, distasteful, and, for that matter, fun and delightful, be served up in "fast food fashion and, 2) liberals.
So...Pres. Bush sits in that little corner with no paint and realizes that 1) if we leave now, the libs will accuse the admin. of wasting military lives in an unjust, valueless war and they will point to the terrible death and destruction that will quickly follow our leave taking as proof positive that Bush screwed the pooch; 2) if we stay...the disjointed and unorganized "anti-war" protesting going on now will turn into far more massive and loud protests about how the "war" was unjust, trumped up and is killing innocent iraqiis as well as US military for no reason whatsoever.

Cindy's protest must be considered a miserable failure considering that the rally attracted only 300 people in a city with a greater metropolitan population of over 2 million , on top of the fact that her appearance was well publicized in advance by the local media.
Good question. This calculated anti-establishment dress code is absurd.

The more she talks, the worse she sounds. As for the children "serving their country"-- if she'd had her way, her son would have been in Canada. I do think the media's loss of interest in her will drive her to more and more ridiculous displays, ultimately making her an even greater spectacle.
I'm surprised you don't hear more outrage of National Guard vets and current members, considering Jihad Cindy is basically telling them all they've never served their country.

- Yes, and you can bet that this was an upside estimate with a goodly portion being her code Pink "handlers", members of the press and passers by who stopped to see what all the shouting was about before continuing on.
I'd be surprised if any more than one hundred were there out of any feeling of commitment to the cause.
