Evan Thomas' source is probably another one of those "GOP-insiders" and "Republican strategists" that his type always mentions in their articles, and never name. I don't believe that for a second!
Hello my little hobit how are you?
I guessed that was what you were doing
Hi, Wolfstar! Oh my goodness, you're a Cowboys fan, too! I've never lived any further South than SF Bay Area, and never been to Texas, but have loved the Cowboys since I was 9 years old. watching football on TV with my dad. That was quite a game today!
I said a little "all right!" myself when you posted that President Bush ignored Nagin while he talked to the other man. Can we find out the guy's name?
Your 'rant' demands a re-post of an article that says it all:
CRUCIFYING GEORGE W
September 6th, 2005
It is a painful thing to see a good and decent man slandered and abused. George W. Bush has been crucified in the media for five years, day after day. This week, after the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe of New Orleans, the media mob is screaming louder than ever. It is a gruesome thing to watch, made worse because we can see the impact on him as a person.
Unlike Ronald Reagan, who could turn away a hostile question with a light-hearted joke, Bush is a man who genuinely wants to be liked and yes, even trusted by his opponents. He has done everything in his power to change the tone of national politics, and at every turn he has been greeted with vicious personal slander. It obviously hurts. Not a glib speaker, it must be agonizing for him to face a baying mob of media types who hate him and everything he stands for. Anything he says will be turned against him. He can only take the slings and arrows, without responding in kind, and quietly go back to work.

[I take great solace in knowing that God is preparing a special place in hell for those who are attempting to destroy our godly president!!]
Hey you won the toaster what do you want?
You done good.
Don't know if you saw it, but Ben Stein had a great editorial today on CBS's Sunday Morning show. He was talking about the pets and how they must be rescued--"Humans first, of course, but cats and dogs a close second." He also said (paraphrase) "How we treat those that can't speak for themselves (abandoned/lost pets) reflects what kind of people we are."
May God bless you too!
A side note, Evan Thomas's grandfather was
Norman Thomas, the old Socialist Party leader in the U.S.
doing great :o)
Yes the President does not have a choice like he had to put up with Blanco weeping all over him last week.
Hi jonny...put it on the Discovery channel for the Flight 93 movie...looks great so far...bbl
"And I found my crack pipe Mr. Prez, you don't mind if I blame you do you Mr. Prez"
" . . . and seeing the Dallas Cowboys win their opening game, this is the happiest day I've had in awhile."
Watching Notre Dame beat Michigan yesterday and the Bengals beat the Browns today also gave me a much needed lift!
That and knowing that the news from New Orleans is getting better and better. [Even though the Mediacrats are attempting to make Katrina their 911, it's simply NOT going to happen!!]
Nagin looks like a heartless idiot yukking it up considering his own city and people have just been devastated, while President Bush looks like a man on a mission, with a single thought for the people and compassion in his heart. Nagin looks like he thinks it's Mardi Gras or something.
Nagin wants to switch parties...again?
Feh! NOVAK.
