The film depiction of Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania on 9/11/01 is being shown on the Discovery Channel at 9 pm Eastern time.
That is in less than one hour for people in all time zones that are on satellite feed.
A FReeper lost his Dad on this flight and wants everyone to watch.
He says it has some (but not all) of the real communications from the plane.
We only have a problem when these type of fools (dunces) run for congress!
Anyhow, it's usually pretty easy to spot a troll; whenever one's spotted, we actually play a game. It's called 'getting in before the ZOT'.
When the troll is ZOTTED, they are banned. The goal is to get in as many posts and pictures as possible before the person is banned (the current record is 27 seconds from post to ZOT). We often use pictures such as Viking Kitties, explosions shaped liked kitties, or other numerous kitty pictures to basically say 'ZOT!'
We also use pictures like this one.
Needless to say, you have the attention you seek!

Although I really don't want to see or hear Tom Brokejaw during the post show presentation.
There have been a number of books referencing the historical relationship between architecture and symbolism, and how they are entwined in buildings, landmarks, bridges, churches, monuments, all across the world.
I will assume because the architects are from L.A., they must be un-educated morons. (I can do that, see, I've met too many of them through my own dad's work, and they mostly are). :)
I hope the panel did not do this intentionally as well, and you know that if you find out otherwise, you have an army of supporters here at FR behind you.

I was fortunate enough to be on business travel, as I do not have cable at home. I made sure to watch the movie. If not for your earlier post, I wouldn't have known about it. Thank you very much, and God Bless your Dad and all your family.

I'm in the Mountain time zone. It finally came on at 10:00 and I taped it. I also saw the show about Rick Rescola, which was very good. Discovery needs to lose the 3-hour stagger for certain time zones.

Where was Lisa Beamer?
Why did I get the impression Todd Beamer was relegated to background this time around?
I watched it last night...and almost immediately my stomach started knotting, this dramatization was that intense and realistic.
It was well made....and brought home the absolute horror of what happened.
But 4 years ago, I remember chill bumps when I heard the operator who talked to Beamer relay their messages, and in the end, he asked her to notify his wife.
The woman of 4 years ago was compassionate, caring and totally aware of the role she had played in connecting us with a huge part of this tragedy.----But the woman I saw last night seemed sterile & unconnected to a living, breathing, scared man who depended on her as a lifeline for a few precious minutes.
Also,Lisa Beamer became a beacon...one of the beacons to this group of patriots.
The Freeper on this forum who lost his father has my deepest respect and sympathy, and absolute appreciation for his father's sacrifice to help us all.
I just wonder though, why Lisa wasn't mentioned or interviewed.....she had such a wonderful spirit.
And I felt like one of the lines from the movie last night tried to negate the heroism of the passengers.
It was the line about 'they wanted to get back home ....he just wanted to come home to dinner'...
..because in my heart of hearts, I fully believe the heroic confrontation at the end was a group of patriots who 'saw' beyond themselves and truly was doing this for the greater good.
Also, I don't understand why Bingham's role in this was 'beefed up'....so to speak.
His mother said she called him again....and left a message for him to take matters in his own hands and do something.
The man died along with the others, but do we know if he heard his mom's message????
We do know Todd Beamer was planning to do just that....take matters in control...
..We do know Deanna's husband and Lyz Glick's husband was interacting with them along the same lines....
...My point is not to negate the dead, as Bingham surely died with the others....
..My point is there seems to be a subtle shift in who did what...
..and for some reason, that bothers me.
Bingham's mom bothered me.....forgive me if I say she sounded a little disingeunous.....
...like I said, I fully expect to get flamed...
..but I watched it too, and though overall, it really conveyed strongly the heroic action of those on the plane....
...some elements seemed out of place....
My opinion....
The entire sales price of the DVD ($21.95, I believe) will be donated to the foundation set up for Flight 93.
