The film depiction of Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania on 9/11/01 is being shown on the Discovery Channel at 9 pm Eastern time.

That is in less than one hour for people in all time zones that are on satellite feed.

A FReeper lost his Dad on this flight and wants everyone to watch.

He says it has some (but not all) of the real communications from the plane.

My husband and I watched it with very little comment and lots of tears. The first thing I said was that it was wonderful that they didn't politicize it.

I have so much respect for them all.

How is watching this documentary being PC?

This show wasn't some news story. It was a tribute to those who decided to fight back against terrorist pigs and sometimes other things should take priority.

Pretty rude to come on the site and almost demand a recap because you decided that entertainment was more important. If knowing what the show was about was so important, you would have decided to flip over from Angel (God forbid you miss one episode) and you would have watched this tribute on a day that should always be remembered.

I felt a lot of things watching this - not the least of which was anger.

It all came flooding back.

But one of the other things I felt was extreme pride in every single one of those passengers.

I only hope that if I am ever faced with a challenge like this, that I will respond with a fraction of the courage they did.

I am a private pilot, I met a fellow who flew with one of the pilots killed that day actually. I fly out of an airport where those sick monsters took some lessons. I keep wondering what if it were me? If they could have been stopped before they nosed the jet over, could I have saved the plane? A few weeks before 9/11 I got to sit in the jumpseat of a Quantas 747 for landing because I was a private pilot. Those days are gone. I dont think here is a single one of us that doesnt wonder what we would have done if it were us. Those people were amazing. They saved so many, they saved our nation from more horror that day.
I think they knew that. I know they knew that.
