I was warning those with satellite feed that the show would start on East Coast times.

Does anyone know the title of the Discovery Hi-Def theater documentary on Washington DC? They played it after the movie tonight in the DC area.

Showed the history of Washington, DC , the Lincoln Memorial being built, etc..

The winning design was announced on September 7, 2005 in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Hall of Flags.

I think it would have been the Capitol. It's much easier to see. When our family was there in May 2001, we went up in the old Post Office Tower and looked around. We weren't very far from the White House in a straight line and we knew just where it was supposed to be and had a devil of a time finding it. It's so low and there are so many trees around it and there are so many other buildings of similar architecture that we had a hard time when we were standing still. I can't imagine that someone flying a plane at those speeds and trying to control it could concentrate enough. I don't doubt that the White House was the INTENDED target of the one that hit the Pentagon. I think it hit the Pentagon because it couldn't find the White House and since the Capitol is straight down the street and the plane had to swing wide to turn, it went for the first most obvious target they could find. This is speculation on my part but just seemed to make sense to me because of the layout of D.C.

Thanks for posting this. I hope everyone enjoyed it. Personally, I think politics were avoided and they did a great job showing what we know of the events of that flight.

Your support and the support of so many others on this website has been amazing. Many folks replied to the message when I posted the brief review of the documentary. And, like yourself, they continued to amaze me that so many people are so grateful. Thank you again.

BTW - my father's walk was yesterday and it was fantastic. Here is a link from the Asbury Park Press. Hundreds came out and we've now safely passed the $80K mark that has gone to charities over the past 4 years.

The actions of the passengers on Flight 93 embody all that is American. Americans always seem to rise to the occasion. As I watched the show I wondered if these events had taken place over Paris, or Berlin if the passengers would have done the same. I'm so proud of those guys. As it was already mentioned, they scored the first victory in the War on Terror. May they all rest in peace.

I watched it on my patio alone, as my wife prefers fantasy to the grim reality of 9/11. When I came in afterwards with tears roilling domn ny face I said to her, "We need to KILL EVERYONE OF THE ISLMOFACIST TERRORISTS - EVERY LAST ONE!" in the same 'tone of voice' as I just typed.

French documentary that had film from inside the towers with the firemen,

9/11 Filmmakers' Commemorative Edition.

I sent this DVD to Bagram, Afghanistan. Also sent it to two units in Iraq --a battalion in Baghdad and a Battery at Kirkuk. They were sent to arrive before this anniversary of 9/11 along with DC 9/11: Time of Crisis starring Timothy Bottoms as President Bush.

Also good is In Memoriam about 9/11 in NY City and narrated by Rudy Giuliani.
