Rendell blows with the wind
By Salena Zito Sunday, September 11, 2005
Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell is the ultimate finger-licking political weather prognosticator. Taking his leadership cue from what direction the wind is blowing, he makes wet-finger decisions at the drop of a hat.
Whichever way the winds blow, so blows Ed.
Finger-in-the air forecasting is dangerous. And Rendell's proclivity for it is much like the politician who never utters a word without first taking an opinion poll.

"And Rendell's proclivity for it is much like the politician who never utters a word without first taking an opinion poll."
Reminds me of President Clinton after the 1994 elections.
LYNN SWANN FOR GOVERNOR!!!
And Ed Rendell probably has more moral fiber that most of the rest of the Dem'crat party hierarchy, all put together.
NOW it's a bad thing to use opinion polls as a guide for which policies to follow? Back during the years of the regime of the "Former occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001" this strategy was supposed to be a GOOD thing....
This certainly shows where his allegiance lies. Redell is not a leader, but a corrupt, incompetent politician.
Wrong. Rendell just blows.
LOL! Beat me by a minute.
And this makes him different from the rest of congress?
They have never proposed or passed any legislation or budgets unless the outcome was good.
They have no responsibility for anything that wasn't good for them.
Sadly, he just isn't that special.
Gee..maybe he'll run for President.
...and get 59 million votes like Monsieur Kerry did. Quite a scary thought when you ponder it.
He would love that!
---Rendell has a solid position on firearms--he's against them in any shape or form---for civilians, at least--
Rendell must have made comments that supported the efforts of the federal gov't in LA.
That must be one substantial wind.
Rendell seemed a lot more determined and decisive when he was pushing the buttons of local labor unions and their cronies in organized crime. I guess politics really does change a man.
