**Like a slave ship**
He proves my point. He wouldn't use that buzz word unless Sharpton and Jackson hadn't used it. I hope Alicia managed to get his name after all - did you see his nice clean shirt? I wonder who donated that - what a blooming, ungrateful, down right stupid man. Notice he didn't look to his State Government; he wants the Federal Government to bail his sorry ______ out! We just saw a Black Activist making waves. Mayor Nagin sounds a little like him
some of these people werent worth the effort
if he didnt want to ride that bus why didnt he get off and go somewhere else, he has two feet!

The guy complained that he was only able to spend $700 on his $2K debit card. The idiot probably had a Red Cross debit card and didn't know it. The Red Cross cards were good for something between $400 and $1000, depending on how many were in the family. He has a woman with him so $700 would seem about right.
Hopefully he won't come to his senses and won't be smart enough to apply for a FEMA card.
It's really hard to be "charitable" when you see ingratitude like he displayed.
By the way, I'd love to see what he spent his $700 on.

I heard the whole thing and tempted to put my checkbook away. I blame part of it on that ditzy reporter. She had to know his agenda before she chose him out of thousands there to speak on camera. The irony of it was they had no problem letting him say G**D**** on the air and when he got to the "F" word, they finally cut away. I have already written my disgust to Fox.

Disasters bring out the best and worst in people. On the best side, there was that enterprising young man who evacuated 70 people in a schoolbus. This is an example of the worst of people.

All I can say is that some are completely devoid of class if not mere civility. Second "F bomb" dropped on FNC in two weeks. This type of attitude sure doesn't make me want to rush to make another donation any time too soon. The government will make sure there will be plenty of handouts, on our dime.
The people in Alabama and Mississippi are loosing out due to all the hysteria in NO. Does anyone know where we can donate to the (IMHO), "Forgotten States" only?

He's only asking for twenty grand. Just imagine how much the "descendents" of the Katrina "hurricane victims" will be demanding fifty years from now.

I am surprised that Fox isn't using a tape delay on these interviews.I'm surprised they do interviews with people who won't give their names.

He said he was treated like a slave by our government, just like back in history, forced to leave, put on a bus. He only got 700 on his debit card, he can't take anymore and they won't tell him why. The Redcross and the Feds aren't worth anything.
Maybe the dems and libs and radicals weren't getting enough coverage so they set it up? God, I'm paranoid.

Maybe his first $700 was spent at the "neighborhood crack house and gentlemen's club". And they cut off his debit card. Just a guess.

I'm with you. There should never have been such a give away. Should the gov pay every family that loses a loved one in an unexpected terrible act, terrorism, accident, nature? How about some innocent sitting at home who is shot by a break in robber, doesn't that family deserve as much from the government, they lost their provider?

I saw that! I have it on video tape. That would make a good news clip for Rush Limbaugh to play on Monday!

the MODS are pulling these threads , too unPC to see ungrateful angry people?? they are testing everyone's compassion

He was saying that FEMA and the Red Cross are nothing but a fraud. Perhaps he needs to be bussed back to the Superdome and dumped there. He can fend for himself. INgrate that he appears to be.Well, like Mark Twaine said, "Man is the only animal that will bite the hand that feeds it."

There was a woman last week who complained the water dropped to her wasn't iced down. Some people are just never happy. Let's be realistic here. She's desperate for a job, and she knows that being a malcontent sure looks good to the media. She thinks she's interviewing for a media job as a professional malcontent. Okay, maybe that's sarcastic, but perhaps not; the media are full of malcontents.

You know, if the government's going to give away so much money, why should I donate? That's my money the government's giving away.
BTW- I already have, and donated clothes and goods, and worked at the local collection area sorting and folding clothes.
The evacuees here are mad because the least we could do is put them where there's something to do.
A few people are going to ruin it for a lot.
