CNN Petitions to Dig Up Hastily-Buried Flood Victims

The Cable News Network (CNN), fresh from a legal triumph allowing it to televise the recovery of dead flood victims, today asked a federal judge to allow it to dig up and videotape any bodies buried in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

"While we were petitioning the court to cover the recovery of corpses, some victims were hastily buried," said an unnamed CNN spokesman. "Our viewers have a right to see the decaying flesh of each and every citizen who perished from lack of federal government assistance

Sometimes reality is so absurd that it is hard to satirize it. So it is with the judge (who IS this blockhead?) who ruled in favor of CNN's demand to photograph the dead, and broadcast the bodies. It is only a slight step from what CNN did, and what Scappleface writes.

This is a good piece. So good that it could have borne the label of IowaHawk. And that is high praise indeed.

Unfortunately what is NOT satire is the part about CNN's "legal triumph" [CNN filed suit for right to cover search for bodies of Katrina victims].

And said triumph naturally, and once again, was at the hands of a Klintoon stooge, oops Federal Judge, the 'honorable' Keith Ellison.

It's a sad sign about the state of the world that I constantly need to read the source lines to figure out what's satire or not..

Anyone see any of those pictures yet? I have a feeling that General Honore is going to win this one regardless of what the judge says. There is no way to force the military to accompany any reporter.

The media is being permitted to accompany those who are searching for the victems, but another group is following to actually collect the dead. I'm sure those sick CNN "journalists" are carrying hand calculators trying desperately to keep count of the dead as marked by the crews, but they will not be permitted anywhere close to the collection crews.
