I hate my cynicism but I don't think Al Gore, raised in the Ritz Carlton in Washington, D.C., by a political family, has ever done anything that was not for political gain.
In the speech, Gore urged that the Bush administration be held accountable for the government's inadequate relief response, particularly "when the corpses of American citizens are floating in toxic floodwaters five days after a hurricane struck."
Isn't that the responsibility of the local government? They are being left there for the same reason the rest of this happen - to run off the riffraff and keep them from coming back and then blame the Republicans for it all.

Al's son was hit by a car after an Orioles game his dad had taken him to. Al was not holding the young boy's hand and the kid ran into traffic. His Dad, our own Al, was distracted and not paying attention to his son who had a serious brain injury.
So that was predictable, right? And what did you do dear Al to prevent your son from being hit by a car?
