THE US military is to bar journalists and photographers from documenting the recovery of bodies left on the streets of New Orleans by hurricane Katrina.
Lieutenant-General Russel Honore, the commander of the relief operation, said on Friday that while the military had allowed reporters covering the catastrophe free rein, it was now slamming the door shut out of respect for the possibly thousands of victims and their families.
"We've had total access to everything we've done the good, the bad and the ugly but that operation (the recovery of corpses) will be conducted with dignity and respect for the families," the general said.
"There will be zero access to that operation. It would not be good to have pictures of people, the deceased, shown on any media."
Lieutenant-General Honore called for published pictures of corpses to be removed from websites.
As the water is slowly drained by pumps and more bodies are revealed journalists will be restricted from entering the parts of the city that have been submerged.

Thanks snugs
I think this thread should stay. Maybe a new thread with the link to the 11:05 news.
CNN immediately file a restraining order to circumvent Honore, depend on some MSM suck up judge going for it. Honore might have to order a few extra body bags for the modern day Kodiak fiends such as the militia shot out of hand in aftermath of the 1900 Galveston hurricane.
Would be neat to see the MSM filing missing person reports for Pooper Cooper, Stretch, and several others. I suggest that Chrissy get down to NO ASAP and get in on the MSM Cadaver Report.
Your photo tells me Brown should have been given a blindfold for this press conference.
"Gen. Honore isn't the most articulate guy in the world. At times, he seemed like a dullard, more in tune with the voices in his head than with the questions being directed at him.
None of which means he isn't a great field commander. It's just that some guys aren't made for the spotlight."
...
Yeah, (sarc)not everyone can be a Jack of all trades like yourself(armchair blow hard). At least America realizes that the General Honores of America are masters(highly skilled) in their occupation. Some people like General Honore are able to move mountains(troops) far better with verbal metaphors.
"Attorneys for the network argued that the ban was an unconstitutional prior restraint on news gathering."
...
translation: lawyers argued that it is unconstitutional to bar the media jackals from hell their feeding frenzy of the deceased.
quick verbal synapse is not a great indicator of intelligence or wisdom
On the contrary, I think Americans appreciated the strong rebuke to the press for their propaganda.
In New Orleans, he is the man and exactly what is needed. He is not afraid to say it like it is and like it will be.
"Sometimes the press needs a kick in the head to show them that they aren't above the law."
.... and the media jackals aren't in charge of relief and relocation. They "think" they are but they are not.
"I am so sick of the media. They DIDN'T want any pictures taken or shown of the 100's of people who jumped out of the World Trade Center, but they sure want pictures of all the dead and bloated drowning victims."
It's the secular liberal media's form of political manipulation, edited and re-edited to sway the masses. Period.
During the Viet Nam war,
the media showed dead
soldiers, on the battlefields,
up close and personal every night.
General Honore appears to be an old fashion type of warrior, ghoulish CNN Kodiak fiends should take note:
"Word received from Galveston today indicates that Kodak fiends are being shot down like thieves. Two, it is stated, were killed yesterday while taking pictures of nude female bodies." (Dallas News, September 14, 1900.)"

"I was watching Dateline last night and when Nagin was asked if he would do anything different he said; YEA! I WOULD HAVE SCREAMED LOUDER."
...
Yep, every day is Mardi Gras for Nagin as he throws beads and Blanco as she throws cake.
Poor decision unless we want to hear arguments over the true death count for the next hundred years.
None of which means he isn't a great field commander. It's just that some guys aren't made for the spotlight.
That's true. Honore doesn't seem to be an intelligent guy, but he really is, no doubt about that. He always seemed like he was in deep thought or staring off into space whenever I saw him in the Army. But then he would start talking and he was on top of the situation the whole time!
Is anyone watching the video on FNC of the house to house search? There are seven guys (5 responders and 2 82nd Airborne) going to one house at a time. Trailing them is an army truck with what looks like 6 to 8 guys in it.
At this rate, they'll be six months finishing the job.

You have assumed the MSM take, if it ain't happening in front of our cameras, it ain't happening. So, is this the only patrol and the only truck there in NO, or is there perhaps several hundred more doing exactly as this unit?
