Looks like our "islamically correct" Dhimmi government is more concerned about terror advocating islamic countries that is it of the tiny but mighty democracy called Israel.

I think in the end democratic Israel will have to fight their fight all alone since our government is too busy not trying to offend dictatorial Islamic regimes....ahem, while we are spreading democracy by the way!!!

Hate to say it but this international disaster relief is beginning to resemble exchanging birthday gifts at the office.

I'm wondering if I live in the same universe as I did a few short years ago. Nothing and nobody makes sense anymore. They won't allow an Israeli flag or help from our only real friends in the middle east and they make the Flight 93 memorial in the shape of a red crescent. What are they smoking in DC?

"The administration's response was said to have alarmed Israeli diplomats, concerned that their country was being marginalized in U.S. foreign policy. Officials said the Bush administration, preoccupied by Katrina, has delayed meetings to discuss Israel's request for $2.2 billion in military and civilian assistance in connection with the withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and northern West Bank. The administration has asked Congress for another $51.8 billion for recovery efforts."

Should be the first paragraph.

Expel the Jews from Gaza, then treat their country as illegitimate... then again the State Department has never looked sympathetically upon the Jewish State and I don't expect it to - in my lifetime.

"In a briefing on Sept. 6, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack focused on Arab offers of assistance to the United States."

I am getting sick of this bending over backwards as of late kissing the tails of these camel breeders. This "reach out and touch someone" touchy feely crapola is making me ill. Bombs away, everywhere except Israel and Iraq (terrorists only) I say.

In the end, Israel will be facing all the other nations in the world in a fight for her very survival. That was written millenia ago, and we are seeing that prophecy on its way to fulfillment. How much longer this will take is anyone's guess, but my best guess is a lot sooner than many think...

Maybe all the talk of a link between "Gaza" and "Katrina" has the State Department freaked out. Maybe they took it the wrong way. Here I will help:

Dear Condi,

Israel did not cause Katrina, nor the record oil prices. I know that is what you are being told by your friends in the Emirates, but it simply is NOT true.

No, 9-11 was not a Zionist Conspiracy. Thinking that even in private will warp your perspective, and acting like it in public will not help you personally to win French admiration. The French aren't worth it, I promise.

No, the Jews in Gaza do NOT have better lives now that they have been expelled from their homes. Check with Barbara Bush for an explanation on how not to see silver linings incorrectly.

No, Mayor Nagin is NOT Jewish. That is a rumor.

No, Israeli scientists did NOT create a "Hurricane" under the code name Tahor (Clean. Katrina = Clean) in order to cleanse the US Gulf coast. They did NOT do this to help them celebrate their upcoming High Holy Days. No matter what Saudi 'clerics' are saying.

Bottom line Condi: You have listened too much to your Muslim friends, and your own Presbyterian theology. Israel is NOT an enemy of America. They are America's only friend in the other half of the world. No, your 'church' has NOT replaced Israel in the economy of G-d. You seem to have chosen sides, and it is the wrong one. Pick up your Bible and read Genesis chapters 12, 15, and 17. Curses are certainly available at bargain prices. I would suggest that you not buy.

Sincerely,

A Former Bush Supporter

Oh yeah, sure, thank the enemy (Islamic states) and ignore the ONLY true friend we have in that part of the world(Israel). I believe that's part of their policy book, chapter "Keep your enemies closer with a twist". Why is Condi allowing this to happen?

Officials said the Bush administration delayed accepting Israel's immediate offer to help the hurricane victims. They said the administration was concerned that such a move would deter Arab and Islamic countries from offering assistance.

Better suffering Americans then offended Islamics.

How can anyone continue to support this administration?

The United States has avoided any mention of Israeli participation in the international aid effort for the victims of Hurricane Katrina...Sean McCormack focused on Arab offers of assistance to the United States. Ms. Rice cited offers of assistance from numerous countries, including China and France. She did not mention Israel.

Officials acknowledged that Israel was one of the first countries to offer to send military and civilian teams to New Orleans. But they said the administration, which has highlighted offers of aid from Islamic governments as well as American Arab and Muslim groups, asked Israel to postpone sending aid until a later stage. The new Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy Karen Hughes has been tasked with the presenting an image of a benign America sensitive to the Arab and Muslim world, U.S. officials said.

"The Secretary [of State Condoleezza Rice] has instructed ambassadors and chiefs of mission to speak to the foreign governments at the highest level," Thomas said, "to go back in to them, thank them for their offers, tell them yes, we want your offer today or [b] we're still evaluating your offer and [c] yes, we may take your offer later as these needs become greater but we want other things."

Ugh. Just plain ugh.
