This was very traggic for the girl who died, but imagine watching your new (or long time) friend die right in front of you.

Sorry that had to happen to you and your friend who died.
I almost was killed the same way while sleeping in a tent. A healthy-looking tree, rotten on the inside, came crashing down after a rainstorm.

Or try being the leader that she went to talk to and couldn't fully push her out of the way. Or running to make the 911 call. And collapsing in the field later when u are told she didn't make it. Hiding from the media at camp for days. Or being afraid of trees for years after that. Turning to drugs to cope. Or the media showing up at your front door trying to get information from your family. My sister (who was a leader of another group & helped scouts with cpr) still carries the rememberance card from the funeral. Im glad I hsd her there to help me cope. Til this day, I still think about Kelly. I still blame myself for not protecting her more. It was the worst day of my life and it changed my life forever. I now believe I have an extra angel watching over me. ♡
