The more I think about this, the scarier it gets. The media and the democrats are screeching that Bush did NOT act like a fascist!

They are revealing their real goal and agenda and it is truly frightening. As horrible as this tragedy is, the Democrat Governor should [figuratively] have her head served up on a platter.

What is sad is all the attention paid to two days. All was well Tuesday, went bad Wednesday and Thursday and the help arrived on Friday so we are talking about a city and state and a people unable to take care of themselves for 48 hours and all this blame game.

Pretty sad when you think about the history of the world and what people went through. I know military folks in wars that went without food or water for as long.

Maybe you can help with this. I've been trying to search through all the Katrina related posts, but well, there are quite a few.

Regarding the convention center. I remember some people commenting that the first stories about people at the convention center didn't come out until last Thursday or so. Now, everyone is making a big deal about FEMA learning about this after the rest of the world. As I understand it no one ever notified FEMA that they were using the convention center.

Do you have some links, timeline, etc. that can put this in perspective?

I agree with you, but the real problem is like this.

you take a tiger cub from the wild, domesticate him for 30 years then let him go... What happens? The tiger either dies because it doesn't know how to hunt, or it gets smart and learns to defend itself and survive.

The People of New Orleans are used to hand outs like the young tiger cub. Now, when the survival instincts are needed, they aren't there, these people relied too much on thier government and not on thier own. Who is going to die?

"The media and the democrats are screeching that Bush did NOT act like a fascist!"

Meanwhile democrats have led the way on forced evictions and gun confiscations in New Orleans.

I note the MSM has the time, energy and resources to research every minutia as to FEMA head Brown's background. In the main, not even a MSM casual cursory investigation of the debacle caused by LA and NO idiotic dem elected officials. Intentional, nah. S\

What about the looters, I would guess as many of them came from the public dole. Instead of helping their fellow man their instincts did not not go asking for a handout but to violence.

I understand a lot of those that stayed and looted were in the drug trade protecting their territory but that percentage was moved to violence not survival or, coddled to do nothing.

Message from Democrats:

Vote of us -- when times are tough, we promise we will act like Facsist Dictators. For your own good.

true... what really gets me is when faced with this delemma, instead of survival, they were thinking possessions.

Which throws reason and logic out the window. i.e." What is a pair of rebocks going to do for you in this situation"?

I on the other hand do not believe in taking something that wasn't given to you, so I wouldn't touch a loaf of bread in a store in that situation. Here is the kicker... I wouldn't have been in the situation. Rule #1, make sure you are out of harms way and make shelter in high ground. - Meaning - I would have left New Orleans before the disaster struck. Of course, most of us with reason would have done the same thing...

You and me and all other Americans need to be very very very apprehensive about your take too and I tell you why.

It's plain that the Left and Ultra-Left cannot grab the power they so much insanely crave other than having an all powerful national government that overrides all the states' and citizens' rights to suit their wacko agenda. Animal Farm and 1984 comes to mind explicitly.

Once such a federal government is in place, the elite rich leftists running the national government, coupled with forced indoctrination of their sick ideals of a carefree homosexual, pedophile, drug laid en, socialist society will undoubtedly have it their way any time they so choose which includes all the children too.

If you think I'm crazy, then look at the cultures and countries of some of the now Middle East, some of Asia, current child labor abuse around the world, etc. and ancient history.

" Every time you see a story demonstrating media bias, report it to the various outlets that track and record the bias. List of Media Bias Resources, or to add additional media bias links."
This is excellent advice. Moreover, I'd add start calling these people the traitorous quislings they are. When people are trying to destroy you, you don't play make believe with them.

I believe what is going on in this situation is that people are confusing the Superdome with the Convention Center. I don't remember seeing any coverage of the people at the convention center but there was an incredible amount of coverage about the Superdome.

An easy question would be to ask someone to describe what the convention center looks like. If they describe the Superdome, they are confusing the issues.

Course, had you stayed and caused problems you get a $2,000 debt card from FEMA.

If you left and came back to no home or life, you get nothing.

In my lifetime I have seen many things. The attacks on this administration by the media and the Democrats is the biggest batch of horsesht I have ever seen.

Screams of racism, of not caring, of gross incompetence coming from the mouths of biased, bigoted, Congresscritters , race baiters and journalists are enough to turn the stomach of any decent human being.

Was there gross oncpompetence? Hell yes, but not by the administration, but by locals who had never read their own evacuation plans or made any preparations in the least, in spite of living below sea level and knowing a storm was on the way. Turning away help because they didnt want to attract the people who needed that help. Has anyone ever heard anything so stupid? Do we need investigations? We do but not investigations put forth by people who wish to hide the facts, and lay the blame anyplace other than with local authorities who are incopmpetent to the point of being criminal.

Hehe, which sort of brings me to the 6 phases of a project:

1. enthusiasm 2. Disillusionment 3. Panic 4. search for the guilty 5. punishment of the innocent 6. praise and honor for the non-participants

Don't forget CNN in this group. The first days after the storm, every other story was Bush-bashing.

Do you know when evacuees started arriving at the convention center? Isn't wasn't one of the original shelters was it?
