A more amazing story happened a couple of weeks ago at a Crosby Stills and Nash concert. This was a CSN crowd, and they booed David Crosby when he went off on an anti-Bush rant. At one point, he yelled at the crowd, I can say any damn thing I want about your sh*tty president! And somebody responded Viva La Bush! causing members of the crowd to cheer.
This actually took place in Manhattan!

I love those guys as musicians and singers, but I really do wish they'd put the 60's anti-war rhetoric away. It's getting a tad old.
It appears a significant portion of their fan base has.
I guess alot of them grew up, got jobs and had kids. I mean actually had kids with a wife, not like Crosby who had his with a turkey baster and a couple of soon-to-split-up lesbians looking to accessorize.
So are they.
I heard REM's beautiful "Nightswimming" on the radio last night and thought, "they're great musicians but their politics suck."
Wow! That's some good news. I hesitate to go to many public events because I don't want to hear a buncha Bush bashing (I'm in Seattle). It looks like CSN's audience has grown up, but as usual, the musicians have not.
