There's a reason he doesn't tour as much as he used to. I thought Yearwood did a decent job with the anthem.
Don't know.
"SO FAR THERE ARE 90 REPLYS ON THIS THREAD ...LOTS OF FOOTBALL FANS OUT THERE...YET NOBODY SAW IT HAPPEN????"
That's because we are FOOTBALL FANS, we didn't watch the stupid opening gay gala. We were waiting for the FOOTBALL!!!!
Note to the NFL: get out of the concert promotion business. You just make people angry.
Quoting from the Globe: "Yet it was disconcerting to hear his name booed loudly by Patriots fans who evidently didn't appreciate his nationally televised comment the other night on a Hurricane Katrina benefit that President Bush ''doesn't care about black people." The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number."

Now, I wish I were there, or had seen this on tv. Thanks for posting the link. :)
"looks like there's some sanity left in Mass. yet!"
Massachusetts is not quite as liberal as most think. It sometimes seems that 95 percent of the citizens must be leftist but elections don't bear this out: Last presidential election as I recall it was around 600,000 for Kerry, and 400,000 for Bush.
I heard REM's beautiful "Nightswimming" on the radio last night and thought, "they're great musicians but their politics suck."

With most artists, I find I can still enjoy their music, films or whatever and basically not be bothered about their politics. This West guy -- I probably wouldn't have minded that he doesn't like the President. Heck, I don't always agree with some of the things he does (or in the case of the border situation, doesn't do). Everyone in this world is imperfect. And we all have the right to agree or disagree.
What I don't like are stunts like West's at a fundraising event. Or the Dixie Chicks' babble in France. There are times and places to say what's on your mind. And you can also express your opinion without rancor.
And one other thing: You can stop trying to constantly hit everyone over the head with your opinion. Some artists can't go more than a minute without having to bash the President, or carry on about the war, or whatever. Santana: I happen to know he is largely a liberal, among other things. But I don't hear him on radio or tv every five minutes going on and on about his politics.
And that's a very good thing, MA patriots were a major force in the fight to win our freedom from King George and his redcoats. I hate seeing their state turned into an anti-American s***hole by people who wouldn't make a pimple on the butts of their brave forefathers.
I'll join in:
"Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"
I would think most people who attend the games are not from Foxboro are they?
What a shame, I would just love to see even a home video clip of this.
BOOOO!!!!
It was mentioned on Rush today.
It's a Patriots game! There's a video somewhere!
