Too bad they "mulled" instead of moved.

"Mulling" this instead of moving on it was the best thing the administration could have done. Maintaining order in the aftermath of Katrina would have required U.S. military forces to do things in New Orleans that the enemies of this administration WOULD NEVER PERMIT THEM TO DO IN BAGHDAD.

True. If the military had gone in on day one and started blowing away looters, we'd have a different story line from the Left: Fascist Bush Sends Soldiers to Kill Oppress Blacks.

IMO that would have had less traction than the current meme. Americans wanted order out of the chaos. This was one instance where Bush could have been the "dictator" his enemies imagine and gotten away with it.

Superb. Too bad this is too long for a tagline.

Maintaining order in the aftermath of Katrina would have required U.S. military forces to do things in New Orleans that the enemies of this administration WOULD NEVER PERMIT THEM TO DO IN BAGHDAD.

"military forces to do things in New Orleans"

...thereby establishing precedent for any potential Democrat-run president.
