The Fox News Channel's Major Garrett made another appearance on the program this evening, following up on his blockbuster story yesterday. Among other things, Garrett got confirmation --on camera-- of the Louisian State department of Homeland Security's blocking of the delivery of relief supplies to the Superdome and the Convention Center. In addition, Garrett received confirmation from senior Salvation Army officials in Washington, D.C. that the Salvation Army's efforts at supplying the evacuees were also repeatedly blocked. Radioblogger will have the transcript up later, but the key takeaway was when I asked Garrett if characterizing Louisian's preparation for the storm as "abysmal" was accurate and he confirmed that indeed it was. Read the whole thing.
I also asked Garrett why no other network is on this story. He can't offer an answer for that, event hough he points out that this isn't a hard story to get, and Fox News needn't be credited. All CNN has to do (or MSNBC or CBS) is call the Red Cross and get a camera over there.
He thinks Blanco intentionally created the pandemonium in NO in order to either blame it on Bush or to force Bush to federalize the troops, at which time all the Dems would be screaming that he superceded the state's rights and calling for his impeachment.
Your husband is not the only one.
You're welcome. I recommend either bookmarking the 1st one I posted, or saving it to a file. I saved parts of it to a Word file that I have open most of the time. It makes it easy to copy/paste the longer codes.
Laura has on her website, a voter poll about Bush's part in this...whether it is his fault...
I voted, NO of course, and when it clicked to the results, a LOT more people voted in Bush's favor than against...so Laura is in the minority in a poll on her own website..
I saw on Drudge ,yesterday he had the article about the Governor blocking the Red Cross from coming in with any supplies. But soon (a few hours later) it had disappeared.Don't know why it was taken down so soon. Strange........
BTW, I heard on Hairball tonight that Tom Brokaw will be reporting from New Orleans tomorrow night...LOLOLOL
Maybe it is because all of Bush's proxies are runing around whining "Why doesn't Bush do something!" "This White House has the worst PR EVER!" Maybe if "conservatives" spent MORE time taking ON the Hysteric Left's talking points and LESS time whining about Bush (thus giving aid to the Hysteric Left) they would not have "The worst PR machine ever".
How about "conservatives" whine less and DO more.
I'm not USUALLY a tinfoil-hat wearer, but I can't completely rule this out either. It could so easily have been a desperate demonicRAT strategy.
Oh she does, does she? Guess I'll head over there to vote then.
When I was putting people on a "list" the other night someone told me they hoped Laura wouldn't make it. I told them I hoped she wouldn't either, and I did hope that. But Laura is beltway, and I had a good feeling she would.
Did Tony call him on any of his comments? When people have an agenda, the person they are out to "get", in this case the President, that person is damned if they do and damned if they don't. And this President understands that and just keeps moving forward. I will make one complaint about the administration though--they need a new press secretary...I loved watching Ari fencing with the reporters...it was pure art.
bttt
Michael Savage said tonight that we have a very compassionate government and that in the end it will be shown that they did a very good, efficient job.
Greg Kelley has been reporting from the White House today.
Two more: Depraved Indifference
Not Blanco. She is just a tool. There are people above her, pulling her strings, orchestrating everything.
Read the Front page story on the Washington Post today? The story about Louisiana Pols siphoning off money into pork barrel boondoggle projects instead of Flood Control? The truth WILL out. Conservative need to spend more time GETTING the truth out and less time whining about the mythical omnipotent of the Dinosaur Media.
That's what I make of Newt's behavior also.
Someobody needs to tell him he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting elected, so knock off the pandering to try to make himself look wiser than Bush.
Hey...don't forget Tony.
Can anyone say "conspiracy to cover up a crime", or how about "the democratic party is dead"
So far the only two I can think of are George Allen and Rudy Giuliani. I do not care at all for Giuliani's stance on social issues and do like what I know about Allen so far.
I'd like to imagine Ann Coulter as a press secretary. She would have a field day fencing with the press. Her way with words and what wit!! Oh well, I can dream, cant I?
