Officialdom was swept up in a mood of festivity as ministers prepared to attend a lavish dinner thrown for the former US President. This is the reason why President Bush doesn't swoop into areas where people are suffering. The security detail, personnel, dinners, and government spending on his visits would be better spent given to help those in need.
Only Hollywood and liberals think that spending $2 million to raise $500,000 is a good deal.
