The hiphop business is interesting that way.

It's biggest stars seem incapable of putting together more than two hit albums in a row, and it's rare for an artist to come out with more than four albums total in an entire career.

So many famous groups or MCs have a reputation on the basis of one or two albums: Eric B and Rakim, Mobb Deep, DMX, Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Jay-Z, Nas, Jah Rule, Ol' Dirty Bastard, the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan, Snoop Dogg, etc.

Every top MC either gets in trouble with the law, develops a drug habit, gets shot or killed, retires to enjoy his money, moves into some other end of the business or pursues a career in acting.

And if you manage to make it and keep releasing records for more than five years running, you are considered too old and your style too wack to continue selling.

Look at Public Enemy.

An extremely successful rapper and record producer who likes to refer to himself as Jehovah.

People with Down's Syndrome should be offended by that--they don't want to be associated with these idiots either.;-)

"The" being deliberately misspelled to show empathy to the inner city "oppressed"

Wow "teh" is one of my frequent typos. I had no idea I was extending empathy to the iner city at the same time.

“George Bush doesn’t care about black people”

Only God, a prophet or a mind-reader knows what is in anybody's mind. Of all the disagreeable traits of the left, this implicit claim to supernatural powers is the most repulsive to me.

Here's a novel idea for all of these race baiters-Jackson, Sharpton, West, and Jay-zee.
Take a 747 and park it on the tarmac at Louis Armstrong airport in NO. Offer to take all of the residents fo NO who have suffered at the hands of whitey for all these many years, fill it to capacity and go the FiretrUCK back to Africa. After all why in the world would you want to live in a racist country where the President hates you. In all likely hood those residents are going to be relocated anyway. I'm sure you'll sell more rap records there. And those $2000 debit cards the gov't are going to give you will go much farther in Africa. Just don't let the door hit you in the A$$.

"What did Mike Myers do? The Austin Powers crap aside, he is a funny, funny man."

He was paired up with this weirdo on the fund raiser and as the weirdo ranted, Mike kept looking at him like he'd lost his mind. He actually stepped away from him at one time. Did you ever see Mike on Actor's Studio? It was hysterical.... even better than Robin William's interview on the same show.

I think Kanye West did President Bush a favor. He showed how Hollywood and the liberals are unfairly attacking the President. Everyone knows the President is not racist, but this shows that the liberals will try to score political points and attack the president at any opportunity.

Keep talking Kanye, Celine and Olbermann. You are helping us and you don't even know it.

Beyonce's Birthday Bling-Bling....

Beyonce's boyfriend, rapper Jay-Z, suprised her on Sunday with $2.75 million worth of jewelry. Beyonce received a flawless $2.2 million diamond and ruby ring, plus a matching watch for her ring that costs $550,000.

I didn't see it, but the guy is a funny man. Robin Williams is an overrated, tired unfunny man.
Anyway, I was listening to my favorite station here in Utah, The Arrow 103.5, it has my favorite DJ, Jon Carter. They play good old classic rock. Anyway, they were talking about the concert for Hurricane relief, the Shelter from the Storm concert. The news woman piped up and said, "I hope this isn't going to be some Bush-bashing event." All of the DJs agreed and hoped that the artists would leave their politics out of it and just do some good for the people. It was great to hear that.

“I’m backing Kanye 100 percent,” Jay-Z told Billboard by phone from London. “This is America. You should be able to say what you want to say. We have freedom of speech.”

Ok..in the world of lefties...we can say whatever we want, no matter how vile, rude, crude, obnoxious, hateful, vicious, and it's freedom of speech. We can be racist and insight riots with it...however, you righties are not allowed to call us on it. Oh and by the way, you righties, if you do say anything even remotely true about us, we will make a law that makes your point of view a crime. Now, take that you righties.

PUKE... I'm sick of black's whose racism and sexism is being promoted as music. I'm also sick of Al, Jessie, hate mongers, and all rappers who would just as soon shoot me and each other trying to tell me I'm the evil white. The double standard is getting very very old. EVERY culture can celebrate, promote, sing, and dance themselves EXCEPT whites. I'm thinking of starting a "celebrate retrosexual men and women's day" and it wouldn't make a difference what color or sex you are. The only requirement is that you should know how to use duct tape and a kitchen stove. (rant and jokes off)
