On behalf of myself and my family, I want to thank you!
My sister-in-law has visited Walter Reed several times this year to visit friends of her son who were wounded while serving with him in Mosul, Iraq.
You make me proud to be a part of this glorious organization!
God bless you all for standing up to the enemy!

Put a camera in you hands. Make it digital and just keep shooting. You will have proof and the truth. Idle hands are the devils tool. It works for me.

two Walter Reed staffers told us of the patients enthusiastically looking forward to our presence each week.................You are doing a good thing. That gave me chills. :) Thanks for the report.

That most important part of the FReep occurred late in the night, but should be described first. Two young Army medics, one woman and one man, came over to thank us for being there. The woman told me that there are 6 patient rooms at Walter Reed where patients gather to watch out the window and cheer the FReepers' arrival. They eagerly tell other patients, who then come into those rooms to look at the MOAB (tgslTakoma's great Mother-of-all-Banners), the American flags, and the FReepers. Patients, who are unable to come to look out the window, are told that the FReepers have arrived. I'm so proud of all of you...

The Special Guest, alleged to be an Iraq War veteran - Looks like he's put a few pounds on since he arrived in CONUS. Wonder what branch he was in.

Hey folks, please pass the info. Wanted to remind everyone to register for the 9/11 Pentagon Freedom Walk. Support our wounded troops Fridays at WR and remember our 9/11 heroes this September 11th. I'm out the door right now to pick up my credentials.
The website is at the bottom of this message but I don't know how to link it.
The Freedom Walk is free and open to anyone who registers. Registration closes at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, 2005. There will be no on-site registrations the day of the event.
Where will you be this September 11th?
The tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, left an indelible mark on the American consciousness. This September 11th, the nation will gather in Washington, D.C. to remember the victims and honor our veterans, past and present, with the America Supports You Freedom Walk, organized by the Department of Defense

I have my schedule confirmed with Sector Baltimore, so I'll be able to come this Friday. I'll bring my car, so I might be a little late.
Apparently Code Pink doesn't want the soldiers inside to hear the support for the soldiers, so how's this for a sign: "Honk if you love liberty!"

I was standing in the group directly across from Bingo, the guitar man and despite the seriousness of our mission, it was hard not to laugh.
In a desparate bid to rally their apathetic and often bewildered comrades, they brought in an aging hippy with a guitar and a harmonica who's rendition of "This Little Light of Mine" was greeted with gales of laughter from the FReepers across the street. Some of whom (moi) lit their cigarette lighters and waved them in the air.
Although the FReepers shouted requests for more mature tunes: Freebird, Purple Haze, Raw Dog War Hog, etc. he continued to play children's songs. He had a small repetoire. A rythmically challenged man in their group attempted to provide percussion by beating on his sign. More laughter from the FReepers across the street ensued.
When one of the good guys held up a sign that asked the Code Pinkos: WHERE IS YOUR FLAG? DID YOU BURN IT? (or words to that effect.) They scrambled around and found one. Too funny.
Several soldiers stopped by to thank the FReepers for being their to support them but were promptly told they - the soldiers - deserved the thanks, praise and gratitude of all Americans.
